Disappointed
I bought the Nemo Hornet in Spring 22 and was looking forward to use it on my first thru hike in NZ. The features and the weight were very promising and I really liked everything about it when I first pitched it in my garden. But after a few days on trail i was really disappointed. Every morning when I was camping on grass my sleeping pad was wet underneath even though it wasn't even raining and I was using the groundsheet. I re-wateeproofed my tent without success and having the same problem after two nights. Another problem were the guy lines loosing when it was windy. I ended up replacing the tent mid trail because I needed something more reliable.

Roomy, lightweight and exceptional quality.
During a recent backpacking trip I got to try out my new one person Hornet. In simple words I love this tent. For a one person tent it is very roomy and offers ample space for backpack and other gear in the tent. Highly recommended. One little improvement could be the fly zipper that gets a little stuck in the rain flap velcro. Making it a little harder to get out of the tent. Another great thing would be a vent through the rain fly to get some air / heat out. Otherwise this tent absolutely rocks, is of great quality and I absolutely love it. Great job Nemo!

Easy to use
Used this tent for the first time on an overnight this weekend and it is super easy to use. Went up and down very quickly, there's plenty of room inside, and it very well ventilated

Disappointed
I bought this tent in May 22 just before the new Osmo came out. There was many things I loved about it. Thoughtful storage. Nice and bright inside. Seemed well made. I love the smaller footprint, I can squeeze in almost anywhere. It is lightweight. My pet peeves were the fabric sags when it gets damp and I am constantly readjusting the pegs to make it more taunt. The zipper would snag easily when its loose. There is only velcro to hold the fly in place at both ends not up top to stop it from moving side to side so staking out had to be careful not to pull more on one side or the other. My biggest disappointment was waking up with quite a bit of water inside my tent when it rained, sleeping bag wet. This has happened more then once. I was actually starting to look at new tents.

No good for PNW weather
I bought this summer 2021 for six nights on the PCT. We had one night of thunder and rain and the fly was absolutely soaked. My friend's MSR copperspur performed much better - it stayed dry inside. My fly was still wetted out when I went to pitch camp the following night and it does not dry quickly. The copperspur fly was 100% dry on unpacking. Used it in light rain last night in BC and my tent floor was wet despite using the footprint and wiping the tent dry before setting up my sleep system. Fly was soaked with condensation on the inside, basically wetted out, and again didn't dry before packing. Fly also sags very badly when wet. Got my down filled pad and down bag wet on a cold night. It also never pitches nicely. There should be tension straps when the fly clips to the poles.

So durable, compact, and lightweight!
I did a tremendous amount of research to help make a decision for purchasing a new light weight tent option for backpacking. I cannot believe how light and compact this tent is. The great thing is Nemo hasn’t made any short cuts designing and building this tent. I ordered it along with the tent footprint and I am very happy with my decision.

Such a great tent!
I am a guide and spend a lot of time in my tents. I bought the Hornet to lower my pack weight. I did not think I was going to enjoy it as much as I do, but I LOVE IT! Not only did I significantly lower my pack weight, I have more room than I thought I would. I am 6'2" so that says a lot! I love the light pocket, and the large vestibule that gives me room to store my pack!

Does it get any better?
What more can be said? its the right weight, size and solid enough to keep you dry over night with out being to heavy to carry in your pack. 100% my first choice for solo nights out.

Great for backpacking in the rain!
Used this tent for a 4 night thru hike of the Lost Coast Trail. The tent was light weight, easy to set up, and kept me and all of my gear dry during the rain! It has plenty of space for one person and small places to stash your gear. Excited to use this tent on summer trips!
