Bring comfort to the backcountry.
Nemo Equipment puts to rest the notion that backpacking tents can't be spacious or comfortable with the Hornet Elite 2P Tent. This ultralight structure weighs just under two pounds, and maximizes efficiency on long-distance treks where the allotment of every single ounce is of utmost importance. A double door design with two vestibules helps you and your adventure partner unwind at the site with a roomy, flowing design, as well as store packs and muddy boots safely.
Keeping time on your side, the DAC Featherlite NFL pole attaches in a hubbed intersection for a quick set-up and easy freestanding pitching. Nylon fabric along the tent floor and vestibule cut down on weight, but not protection or durability, while PU and silicone coatings provide waterproof protection when you encounter unexpected afternoon downpours. In addition to the dual doors, the Hornet Elite's mesh canopy enhances air circulation in those hot, muggy conditions that come along with summertime backpacking.

- Q & A
Love this tent!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I was hesitant to purchase such a pricey tent but when it went on sale I pulled the trigger. So glad I did. This thing is LIGHT as a feather! I have spent several nights in it and experienced some pretty sketchy (windy and rainy) weather with no issues. I like the fact the the stuff sack is a two stage sack meaning you can carry the poles and stakes in the bag with the tent and have a longer bag to strap to the outside of your pack, or stage it down to a smaller sack with just the tent and your poles and stakes stored separately. I was a bit nervous about the strength of the fabric with it being so light and the first night the zipper caught on the fabric of the rainfly as I was opening the door. I thought for sure it would rip, but it did not and I had to pull it pretty hard to get it unstuck from the zipper. If you are in the market for an ultralight tent this is definitely one to consider.
What's the difference between this one and the non-elite?
