Great except for the bottle holder

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I really liked this pack when I first opened it. It's packable so it isn't rigid and the materials seem to be high quality. Unfortunately, the drink holder was a deal breaker for me. I read other reviews stating it was tight, but figured there was some exaggeration. That was not the case. There is a piece of elastic that makes it impossible to put any bottle wider than a can in there. Too bad as the rest of the bag was sweet. However, I needed a daypack that could accommodate a decent sized bottle so this one went back.

folding it back requires origami mastery

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The bag is pretty cool, I use it for treks or travel I can sometimes just grab stuff for my hike, consume then fold it bag into something smaller, that said its not super easy to do, otherwise its pretty much everything you can expect from Mystery Ranch, also works for when you need an extra bag for Duty free or other unexpected purchases (says my wife).

Mixed Review

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

The quality of this pack appears to be very good, but has a couple design flaws. It's nearly impossible to fold back into its pocket for storage. Also, the water bottle pocket is very tight, and the way the fabric is sewn there it is very difficult to force a bottle in. About the largest circumfrance you could put in here is a soda can. I wish it would work, but unfortunately I'm sending it back.

Nice Pack

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only used this a couple times but I dig it so far. Seems crazy durable and is fairly lightweight. The compatibility aspects on this pack are pretty rad. I'll be sure to keep my eye on this brand in the future.

Will the side pocket fit a 32oz Hydro Flask wide mouth bottle?

A regular hydro wide mouth yes, the growler no.
