Why We Like The MYSTERY RANCH District Pro Bag
Here at Backcountry, the Herd is just as passionate about the bags we take into work as the ones we take out adventuring. We love the MYSTERY RANCH District Pro Bag for its sleek and compact design, versatile nature, and quality build. The District Pro has a zippered main compartment, a smaller top zippered compartment, a covered front pouch, and two external water bottle pockets to hold all of our workday essentials. Made out of a super tough 420D nylon and fitted with premium YKK DWR-coated zippers, this bag has us covered no matter what the workday looks like. The main pocket has internal organizational sleeves, can fit up to a 15-inch laptop, and has a removable divider for type-A organization. The shoulder strap is removable and adjustable, and the two grab handles on the body of the pack allow for a comfortable carry and fit over the handle of most wheeled luggage bags.

Amazing buy one now
Have had this for about 3 weeks. Replaced a 20 year old Patagonia laptop pack. This Mystery Ranch is better in every way. Don’t hesitate to buy this. Worth every penny.

This bag has become my go to for my work days.
I have been using this bag for 6 months now. Ordering it online, I was concerned on the size but it was time to transition out of my 20 year old Timbuk2. I liked the idea of the smaller fit and more true organization and the District Pro truly has it all. For work I have to carry my computer, cords, pens, paperwork and odds and ends. On top of that, I generally carry my personal computer, and most of the time a spare portable monitor. The bag is tight, but it fits it all. I can say I have stressed the zippers and shoulder strap pad. Recently, I have been taking out the organizer in the center compartment and using it for overnight travel, with a packing cube. It has room for my clothes, computer, cords, a stash pocket for snacks, keys, ear bud case, and still the hidden back pocket for my passport. I have several Mystery Ranch bags, from a Terraframe 65, Coullee 30, Wingman Multipocket, and District Pro. I am sure I will get a few more because I have yet to be disappointed or uncomfortable. I hope they keep up with this quality since being bought out.

Great bag
The only thing I’m not thrilled about is the lack of room for sweatshirts

Center divider is a blessing and a curse....
The integrity of the bag relies on the removable divider/organizer, when it is not used (removed) there is nothing from keeping the main compartment from opening completely wide and dumping your gear on the ground. The lack of included alternate inner straps (or some other analogous system) is a big miss. I tried to use this as a camera bag but the inner divider takes up space, yet can't be removed unless I want my camera gear on the ground. Otherwise the build quality is great.

Perfectly designed!
I bought this bag a month ago and use it everyday. Its design inhibits the perfect amount of options without being too overdone. I use it for work to carry a laptop and large tablet plus accessories. Plenty of pockets and sleeves in just the right places.

Awesome bag
Awesome bag for my laptops. Quality is pretty much standard for mystery ranch. Used it in the navy and now use it all the time.

Great quality
I have used this bag for a month now. Has so much room for everything I carry. I see some complain about the Velcro but there is no issue, I kinda tend to like it better than a zipper. Only thing I would add is an inside zipper compartment. The strap is comfortable, no issue there. I would buy this bag again.

I bought this bag for my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to say the least I’m well pleased with the bag plenty of space and pockets to sort what ever I’ve got for that day very very high quality material love the thing

Exactly what I needed
I move between buildings and field sites quite a bit and this bag is exactly what I needed. The external water bottle pockets really round the whole thing out and the key ring in the stash pocket is a nice touch. The bag is precisely the right size for everything I use in my day to day with great internal organization.

District Pro
Been using an Eagle Escape and Evade bag for years. Tried the District Pro and love it. Holds a ton of stuff and is much more compartmentalized. Has two water bottle holders, a spot for my Oakleys, admin section on the front, padded iPad area, and a document section among others. This thing is a steal for the price.

Are there any plans to update the district pro? I’m really hoping for a 16” version as it’s so difficult to find a shoulder bag with 16” laptop comp. and 2 water bottle pockets.

Can an alternative insert become available that frees up internal storage but prevents the main compartment from just "flopping open" when unzipped? This is almost an incredible camera bag but the current removable divider eats up too much space.

Roughly, what’s the LxW dimensions of the main compartment with the divider removed? Could I fit a 6x8 inch Tupperware in there flat? I need to know if this bag can carry my important work materials (aka my lunch)
