Tough, light, versatile, looks great. This is the best back I've found for inbounds skiing (with the occasional bootpack or slackcountry excursion). Highly recommend.

Used as an inbounds resort pack and it was great! Didn’t even know it was there. Worked great wearing on the lift also

Perfect for inbounds skiing

I can fit everything I need for a day of inbounds skiing. You can barely tell it’s there while riding and the buckles are super easy to work with your gloves on. Could possibly use a side compression strap to keep things from accumulating towards the bottom but that’s just being a bit nitpicky.

Big enough

Just finished a one day ski of Mt Baker with the D, and wingman pocket. Did a slight mod to carry the ice ax. Plenty of room for extra layers and glacier gear. With the wingman you can get a ton done with this pack!

Hope it survives

Got this product to be my commuter back. Was looking for MR quality of build, funcionality and rain resistant. Out of the box seems like a cheaply made product that will not stand the test of time. Waist strap is tiny and narrow. Would be ok to hold your lunch and a small bottle of water, but anything with much weight, this pack would be uncomfortable and not hold up well. Sorry MR, nothing like the firepack I own...

Ideal for the Resort Skier/Boarder

Purchased this pack just before heading west for a week of snowboarding. I've owned the larger version (Saddle Peak) for years but wanted something smaller for this trip. The D-Route proved perfect. Large enough for an extra layer, water bladder, repair kit, and a small SLR camera. Top pocket is small, but still accommodates a few essentials that you want easier access to throughout the day. The side zip access is a real bonus - makes it super easy to dig out small items that inevitably make their way to the bottom of the pack during the day. The overall low profile was great when riding the lifts - so much so that I didn't feel the need to remove it while loading. Well built, and worth the price.

Nice, but lacking quality control

It's a nice little pack for slack-country laps, but the one I received was lacking in quality control. One of the cinch straps for the lid is significantly shorter compromising the pack's carrying capacity. Most likely someone got to the end of the webbing spool and simply did not care about the end product. Still functional and probably a rare occurrence, but disappointing.

Perfect for minimal missions

Bought this for resort sidecountry, and morning bootpacks up Mt. Glory. Both it does extremely well. Large enough to stuff a few essentials, but small enough to keep you from overloading. This is likely not your "all-day tour" pack, nor is it really designed to be. If you have other packs, and you are in the market for a minimalist option, this is it. The only improvement I would suggest would be to make the torso a bit taller, but I'm 6'3" with large shoulders so feels a bit small, but not unusably so. Probably not an issue for the average person.

Just the basics

This pack is perfect for quick laps in the slackcountry. Enough room for a probe, shovel, skins, water, a FAK, and a snack. Also great for in bounds skiing especially with small children when you need to carry more than fits in a jacket. The slim profile makes it easy to wear on a lift and the side zip make the contents easily accessible.

Wish it worked with a snowboard!

When I purchased I thought it was designed for inbounds hiking, only having splitboard carry options and no snowboard carry is inconvenient.
