    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Its light, small and holds a can of fuel. Im hoping since this is metal, it will last longer than the one that came with my jet boil.

    WOW!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this stove to save some weight and reduce the amount of unnecessary gear that I carried. In that I found an unbelievable piece of equipment in the Msr Pocket Rocket2. It’s name is perfectly descriptive. The power, the size......perfect!!!!! I’m sure this will be paired up in my cookware for years to come. Also, another thumbs up to backcountry for providing comparative specs on ALL their gear.

      Packworthy

I’m sure there’s someone out there in the “ultralight” community who thinks it’s against the rules to bring such equipment but.......I’m a klutz, and the ground I’m on is usually not flat so this seems a necessary piece of equipment.

        Highly recommended!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I never knew they made these, or I would have ordered much sooner. My husband knocked over our MSR Pocket Rocket stove once, when we were out in the desert. I was cooking in a cluster of palms to get out of the wind, and I thought he was going to catch them on fire! Trying to pick it up was like trying to get a hold of a blazing torch! That got me to thinking about a way to stabilize the stove, and I was so glad when I found this one. Makes cooking much safer. :)
