Love this stove until ignition part broken
Use this stove for few years. I bought this it was because I didn’t need to bring a lighter. And until the part broken was disappointed so I need to bring a lighter now.

Compact powerhouse
Fantastic little canister stove. Has worked well on multiple mountains and also used it in some campgrounds to finish up some of the almost empty canisters. Simmers well so it's usable beyond just boiling water like my windburner does. Light winds are manageable, everything beyond that needs a windscreen or another type of stove. The only flaw is the piezo igniter which only functions sometimes.

Piezo failure after three days
The stove burns well, but after just three days of using my brand new stove the piezo igniter ceased working. Not great in the middle of a 6 day winter walk.

I loved the convenience of
I loved the convenience of not needing lighter, but, sadly, it doesn't always work, so I have to carry lighter with me anyway

Quite a punch for such a small stove :)
Being an MSR user for the past 30 years, switching to the pocketrocket from my old whisperlite was quite an upgrade! The major improvement was the simmer control that works great and also the fact that I can get this thing working in a matter of seconds :) Thanks for another great product!

My favorite stove
I've owned and used dozens of different stoves in 40 years working in the outdoor industry, and this is probably my favorite. Tiny size, easy-lighting, precise heat control, good flame spread, and bombproof build. I bought my first Whisperlite in 1982 when they first came out and have been happily using and abusing MSR products ever since. Can't go wrong.

Great stove
There is a reason they sell a of these, it’s a great little stove! The built in regulator really works well.

Pocket Rocket Deluxe - support issue
As the spec says; windproof works well at gentle breeze and that is good enough. It is a big bigger that the older model, but works better with bigger pots on. The built-in regulator works well in cold temp and even though it wastes some extra gas, it is very helpful and reliable at snow camping and day trip. The soft pouch is way better than hard plastic box. One thing can be improved that the tripod support is not strong enough for heavy load. Once i had issue with my Reactor burner, so i put the Reactor pot (1.7L) on this PR Deluxe, and the tripod was tilting sideway and was not stable, so i had to hold the pot the whole time.

Pocket rocket
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This is the first time using a stove like this. I used it in October on the buffalo river. It’s a nice little burner. Small and light. It’s sturdy. I mostly used it to make coffee and it boils water really fast. I will be taking it back on river trips. I don’t backpack but I can see this being part of the pack. You can carry it in your pocket.
