I’ve got a sports car on my feet!
I didn’t know that snowshoes could be so sporty. I love my new snowshoes!

Overall a good upgrade
These snowshoes are an upgrade for me from men's Revo Explores. I like that these are narrower. I used to trip myself when the front inner corner of the Revo would catch the ankle of my gaiter. I like that my big feet fit into the women's version of the Lightening. My size 11 boots did not fit into the women's Revo bindings. That's why my last ones were men's. I like the more aggressive grip of the lightnings, especially when I'm going downhill. I'm always a little uncomfortable coming off a mountain. I feel much more in control in these. I love the Paragon bindings. So much more comfortable than the hyperlinks. My feet would always slip forward on the descent and then the heel strap would come off. I used to have to crank the rachet on the Hyperlinks until my foot hurt and they would still come off. The only thing I find less satisfactory are the heel lifts. They are more aggressive than I like and because of my big feet my boot heels land on them very far forward. I do not feel very comfortable or stable when using them. Wish I could move them back a bit... I haven't decided if this is a deal breaker or not. I've only gotten to use them once so far.

Hardcore
These are the best at conquering some tough terrain. Rock fields, avalanche debris, side hills, these do it all. And you can be assured, they won't break when you need them most, far from any lodge.

Great choice!
These are everything I had hoped for in my next pair of snowshoes. They are so comfortable on level trails or when I’m gaining elevation, and I feel confident when I’m hitting the snow-covered trails now. Very easy to put on as well.

Awesome Light Weight Snow Show
We bought two pairs of this snow shoes. It took a minute to get them adjusted for our shoes (I did at home), would recommend this. We finally got to get out on the snow as this has been a bad year for lower elevation snow. These snow shoes are awesome, coming from a not as well designed snow show, it was like walking on air, they are light and give you a lot of lift on the snow. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a great pair of snow shoes that preform extremely well.

Women's Lightening Ascent Snowshoes
I love the way these snowshoes are shaped and fitted for a smaller woman's body and gait. They are very comfortable without sacrificing durability and functionality. I'm very satisfied.

Rivet failure
I bought these for a narrow snowshoe and was under the impression MSR was a reputable brand. These snowshoes have a severe rivet flaw. 3 have broken out of one snowshoe and 1 on the other underneath the foot binding. The rivet failure is not something any user could have caused. They simply do not last. I think the rivets must be either low quality or a poor design. This is not a long-lasting piece of gear.

Easy to put on, hard to walk in
These were pretty straightforward to put on. I found them comfortable, but they are still very wide so that I had to walk with a wide stance so they wouldn't catch my pants. This made it hard to enjoy wearing them for longer than 30-45 minutes.

Work great but look bad
The snowshoes work great but the paint on the shoes started peeling off the first time I used them. My husband has a black pair he’s used more times than I’ve used mine and has no problem with the paint coming off. It’s disappointing to pay this amount for snowshoes that don’t look good after using them from the first use and the paint continued to come off each time I used them. More paint has come off since these photos were taken. I’m currently not at home but I could send more pictures next week if you would like to see what they look like now.
