MSR Handheld Piezo Ignitor
The MSR Piezo Igniter reliably lights most canister stoves with push-button convenience. The ignition element is protected inside the igniter's tube, making it far more reliable than stove-mounted igniters and the tube also collects a small amount of gas, further aiding ignition. Not compatible with the Reactor and WindBurner stoves, or other radiant burners.

Failed after 5 days and 10 uses
Bought this for some self supported hiking trips, but after 2 uses a day for 5 days it stopped working. Luckily my friend had a flint which worked perfectly. I can’t recommend this device as a reliable source of gas ignition.

Great for backpacking
I purchased this product in Korea. It has a very simple design and excellent performance. However, I initially thought I could use it in the reactor, but I was a little disappointed when it didn't work. Fortunately, my cousin had a burner, so I was able to light it. Nonetheless, I remain confident in MSR, which consistently produces great products.

Waste of materials
This ignitor worked about twenty times then failed. Lucky I had matches as a backup. I do not recommend this product.

Great for camping
This igniter works very well. I would totally recommend I got it for Christmas and lights my MSR universal stove like crazy, again I would totally recommend very easy to use.

Worked 3 times
I took this on a 3 day camping trip and it worked 3 times then nothing. Luckily my friend had a lighter. I have always like MSR products and purchased this to go with my trusty old pocket rocket. Disappointed.

Has stopped working
Worked a couple of times, and then stopped working. Do not trust this as your only source of fire\spark when camping etc.

Bought twice both failed
I bought this a few years ago and returned it since it didn't work. Ever. I bought it again this year thinking that it was a bad batch or improvements had been made. I was wrong. I won't be using this at all and it will end up taking up space in a landfill. All of the other MSR equipment I have has stood the test of time. How could something so simple fail so consistently right out of the box? Twice.

Stopped Working on First Trip Out
On first trip with igniter, it stopped working on day 2. Had to pull out emergency matches that have been in my kit for years and those would not light. Ended up using emergency fire starter to make a small fire, light old matches, to light my Pocket Rocket. Guess I should go back to a butane lighter or a Zippo. It worked great, until it didn't.

Do Not buy this lighter it will let you down and no means of getting a hot drink/food. Buy instead an ultra reliable magnesium block fire starter.
