Great Kettle

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Light, strong and durable. I have used this kettle on a few excursions and it has worked out well. Shaved some ounces from the pack and is helping to save the non-stick coating on my MSR cooking pot. The lid does indeed fit tightly. A couple of recommendations: Make sure you always have some water to boil in it before putting it on the stove. If you do not the titanium may become discolored (learned from watching others). I pack a tiny piece of shammy to use as a mini pot holder because the handles get HOT.

A great option for a larger kettle

I've had an MSR Titan for years. It's a great little pot. When the Big Titan came out, I knew I'd have to get it. Summer family backpacking trips we go through lots and lots of boiling water for dehydrated meals and hot drinks. Smaller kettles are constantly needing refilled and boiled. This larger kettle helps with that. Plus there is room to cook other things in it like Knorr's rice sides. The other issue I have with the smaller version is that a fuel canister won't fit and still be able to close the lid. This has plenty of room for a canister and stove inside. They are super light for the size, and they are really no frills simple pots. Easy to clean and really high quality. If there's just one or two of you, I'd go with the Titan or the GSI Halulite, but if you go through lots and lots of water this is your ticket.

Thanks for the review Vance! Super helpful to get this feedback out to the community.

Will this nest a Whisperlite International stove & fuel pump?

Hey Andrew. That is kind of hard to say. I think that it would be able to fit the stove but the fuel pump might be a tight squeeze, though I would imagine you could make it fit since that's not a very large item. The dimensions of the kettle are 6.25 x 4.5in and the Whisperlite International stove says it's about 4inx4in on the MSR website.
