    Are you ready?

The unanswered prayers of skiers are currently merging with warm temperatures over the equatorial pacific creating a monster el nino that will engulf the West with bottomless powder and back-to-back storm systems that will roll off the Pacific Ocean like a freight train packed with dynamite. With a winter of this magnitude waiting in the gates, there is only one thing you need to ask yourself, are you ready? If you have the Mountain Hardwear Men's South Chute Jacket then the answer should be yes.

The South Chute is insulated, waterproof, and ready to withstand those burly winter storms that will pound your home mountain day after day thanks to a two-layer Dry.Q shell and 80g synthetic fill. The hood shields your face and head from el nino's harsh winds, while the removable powder skirt blocks out snow from the storm's guaranteed payload. When things start to get too heated behind all that insulated goodness, zip open the two underarm vents for a quick cool down. The South Chute houses a grip of features to keep you comfortable on the chairlift with two zippered hand pockets and single media-compatible pocket on the inside.

    Great Jacket!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Mountain Hardwear.......Absolutely mind blowing. They make nice, durable, high quality products for just any field you are looking for. Its thermal Q insulation keeps you just warm enough where you aren't uncomfortably sweating. Its shell also a plus, that plays a roll in the jackets quality. If you're looking for a great fitting jacket and something with style mountain hardwear is right up your ally. I cant complain about this jacket. I hope you find yourself buying this jacket.

    Nice Jacket!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Warm, good looking jacket. Was on the fence about sizes. Would say it runs true to slightly large, so no need to go bigger than you would for your t-shirt. Overall seems like a keeper.
