The Mountain Hardwear Premonition UL Jacket is the layer we bring along any time there's rain in the forecast, or whenever we've got a gut feeling that the weather people may be wrong and would rather be safe than sorry. The ultralight shell provides incredible waterproofing and breathability thanks to the Pertex Shield 3L membrane, which allows sweat to escape without allowing moisture in for maximum comfort on the ski hill, trail, or crag. The durable nylon construction packs down small and stands up to daily use in damp, rainy climates. Underarm vents circulate air, keeping us cool during high-intensity activities, and the helmet-compatible hood is easily adjusted for maximum protection when our suspicions are confirmed and the rain starts to fall.
