What do you turn to when the rain drops?

You can find shelter from the storm in the Mountain Hardwear Men's Finder Jacket whether you're hiking the wilderness or exploring your hometown. Its Dry.Q Core shell provides the same waterproof ,breathable protection that most of Mountain Hardwear's ski and rain shells have, and fully taped seams enhance waterproofing by preventing a single raindrop from seeping through. The adjustable hood works with the hook-and-loop cuffs to further seal out the elements.

Neat jacket for windy or rainy days

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

Perfect for those windy mountain tops, provides enough protection so you don't get cold but is not too hot so you can keep it on for most of the hike.

The hood fits perfectly and doesn't come out easily by wind hitting from the front, I find this very useful when is raining.

Is not too baggy so I might use it to wander around town as well.

    Great Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

This is a fantastic jacket for the price. I use it regularly and have always stayed dry even in some heavy rain. It's lightweight and breathable. I've only once found myself wishing it was more breathable and that was in Texas during the summer. However, to be fair nothing is breathable enough for 110° weather. That being said, pit zips would be nice, but it's not a big deal. I love this jacket, and love mountain hardware they're always a trustworthy brand. I'm 6'1, 190lbs and have a large. It fits me well and leaves enough space for a base layer or soft shell for lower temperature days.

    Thanks for your review, Aaron!
If you like Mountain Hardwear and looking for something that may be a little more breathable, you should coinsider the Quasar Lite Jacket which has breathable chest pockets. I know it's still not the pit zip you're hoping for, but this is another great jacket for the price! If you're looking for more options with Pit Zips and same quality, check out Helly Hansen!

    Awesome jacket for the price!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Well for a lite rain shell this jacket aint bad at all! looks good too! and for the price you really cant go wrong. I mean if you want to spend more money you can get a more technical rain shell but sometimes we all cant get that 300 dollar jacket we want! so go with this if your looking for a good hiking shell in *mild* weather nothing to crazy!

    Unanswered Question

I own many jackets so I don't need something heavy. I am looking for a lightweight rain jacket that breathes well so that I can wear it during summer times in the south when it rains. Does this jacket breathe enough in 70-80 degree weather rain jacket?
