Why We Like The Boundary Ridge GTX 3L Bib Pant

When we're facing high winds, intense snowfall, and frigid temperatures at the top of the chute, we're always thankful to have thrown on the Mountain Hardwear Boundary Ridge GTX 3L Bib Pants beforehand. The durable polyester fabric holds tough in rugged terrain, and the 3-layer GORE-TEX membrane ensures we stay as dry as the Sahara thanks to its waterproof and breathable performance. Articulated knees and the stretch-woven back panel provide superior range of motion while skinning up steep aspects or throwing spins off of spines. Reinforced kick patches withstand abuse from stepping into our bindings or snowshoes.

Pretty good pants

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
M

I like the pants. I like the pockets. I like the fabric and water proofing. I like the full zippers and the zipping rear door feature. The one negative is that the ankle cuffs are too small, or smaller than I like, and fit too snugly around my boot. The cuff gets stuck at the top of the boot. I skied with the zipper undone 4-5 inches so I could move more easily and unbuckle my boots.

Very comfortable pants

Bought for my son who loves them. Says they are roomy enough to layer under ( they are not insulated) Loves the fit and quality

Men’s Boundary Ridge ski pants

I recently purchased the Boundary Ridge bibs and have use them both for resort and multi day ski touring. I’m really happy with them, very waterproof but breathable, and design of pockets and adjusters that is well thought through. And I like the fit although they are a narrower fit than some would like. I’m tall and pretty thin.

Good features and fit, poor durability

Good fit and feature set, durability is questionable. I wore these on a 3 day backcountry trip, and already had a small tear form in the gortex. I was not crawling over rocks or climbing, etc, so that left me a bit less confidence in the longevity of these bibs. First trip, and in need of patching, and these weren’t exactly inexpensive… I have military gortex tops and bottoms that have made it through 10 plus years of use without rips/tears, and those went through some rough ROUGH adventures. Love the color, the side zips, and front pockets. I am 5’ 7 130 pounds and the small regular fits me well, although I am maxed out on the straps to make it as ‘small’ as it will go.

Rad

Durable and dry material (gore-Tex is rad), not heavy though. Well placed pockets/plenty of storage for inbounds necessities. I’m 5’10, 165, 31 inch waist—medium fits me perfect

Awesome powder bibs

These are excellent bibs. Used them for six days of powder skiing and stayed warm and dry. Plenty of pockets. Ran true to size. You won’t regret buying these.

Awesome durability

Got these a couple seasons ago for snowmaking and touring and they’ve withstood the worst conditions and still stay dry and durable. Good vents, beacon tether in breast pocket
