Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Boundary Ridge GORE-TEX Jacket
When we've skied every run on the mountain a few times over, and our eyes drift towards the outskirts of the resort, we're glad to be wearing the Mountain Hardwear Boundary Ridge GORE-TEX Jacket, so we can plow through deep stashes of untouched powder in comfort. The breathable GORE-TEX membrane seals out moisture while allowing hot air to escape, and two zippered vents cool us down fast when we work up a sweat on grueling boot packs.

Best of Both Worlds
This is the kit if you access your backcountry terrain via ski resort. It's a shell jacket with gore-tex, so it's not going to be as warm as an insulated kit but it's also not the lightest shell kit the brand makes. I size up one size so I can fit plenty of layers underneath on really cold days but come spring time I'm hiking in shorts and a tshirt underneath. It's a great balance for someone looking for one jacket for both resort and backcountry skiing.
