Better than hyperlite :)

Great pack! I've used it for a couple alpine climbs and several ice cragging days. It carries a load really well and all the "creature comfort" features are well constructed and useful, ie the side pockets, internal pocket, tool/crampon attachment. The tool carry is no fuss and works great for both techy and straight shaft tools, which is great. The crampon carry is also simple and light, though I'm hoping there isn't any long term wear on the face material. I happen to prefer hip belt pockets over gear loops so I'm a fan of those. The reason I like this pack so much over similar alternatives are the internal frame and load lifter straps are very sorely missed features missing from too many alpine packs. Not sure on long term durability yet as Ive only had it for a month but I've had it out on probably a dozen outings so far and its held up great.

Great summit/trekking pack

I bought this as a larger alternative to my Scrambler. I just returned from an attempt of Aconcagua and used this my trekking pack. It carries extremely well, provided you pack appropriately. The back has only a thin foam insert to hold shape, so things can get uncomfortable against your back. Again, pack appropriately. The side pockets are absolutely useless for anything other than a map. Otherwise, I love it.

MH Alpine Light 50

Pros: Carries Well Full featured for an alpine pack Cons: Expensive compared to competition Fiddly tool attachments Top side pockets are kind of a gimmick, cant access them while carrying a rope, would be nice if they were on the bottom of the pack instead of the top. Hip belt pockets instead of gear loops seems like an oversight for a climbing pack, pockets are heavier and less versatile. While having hip accessible storage is nice, having extra gear loops is almost a necessity.

You'll regret it

If your looking for the worst, most uncomfortable, and inconvenient backpack of your life, look no further. I've summited 6 peaks in this backpack and failed a few just because of the pack. Ice axes never want to stay in place. Nowhere to put a water bottle. I prefer having a water bottle and hydration pack in case the bladder gets punctured or freezes. "Think safety." No dyneema. All around unsafe. Color is absolutely idiotic. If this was designed by mountaineers I'd love to meet them.

Fully featured Light Pack for mountaineering

Great Pack! I bought this for a 3 day baker climb and it has just the right amout of features for holding an ice axe or two, crampons and two useful side zippers for holding either a water bottle or whatever while also being very light. I would have liked to buy a different color but thats minor gripe.

Exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this bag specifically for a climb of Mt. Olympus. Unfortunately it didn't arrive in time for me to test before the trip, but it felt so comfortable out of the box I decided to take my chances anyway and I am glad I did. This was super comfortable carrying 30 lbs over 40 miles - I had zero chaffing or hot spots which was my issue with my previous bag. I had no issues fitting all of my gear and the outside attachment points were perfect. Super light weight and carried well. My only complaint is the color - a white bag for alpine climbing isn't a great choice as far as safety is concerned. I'll be adding a quick spot of color to help stand out more in the event of an emergency.

Durable and functional

Durable and functional backpack for alpine adventures; has all the necessary features, including ice axe carry, snack pockets, crampon carry, and hydration pocket. The metal frame on the back panel (even on the smaller size) still sits a bit high for my short torso and sometimes pushes my helmet forward when I tilt my head back to look up. The tool carry should be compatible with most ice axes, although requires some creative with certain CAMP ice axes. So far I have not been able to find the "modular center rope strap to accommodate various external carry and compression setups" for when the top pocket is on the bag. Nice size for overnights.
