Good hiking boot
I took these to Red Rock Canyon. They gripped the rock and were quite comfortable. The tongue seemed to be 'unfinished' like what others commented. I think that might just be the design. It doesn't bother me & maybe it makes the boot more breathable? All in all I'll keep them for future hiking trips.

Cute but not comfortable
I bought these earlier in the year. Originally thought I liked them but after a few hikes in them I would not repurchase. The toe box is quite narrow and my toes hurt after hikes. Will end up donating them. I ordered a half size up and they still feel tight in my toes - would recommend ordering a full size up if you purchase them. The waterproof is great and overall comfortable if you’re not hiking in them. PLEASE bring back the chameleon 7 mid boot.

So comfortable and sturdy
Bought these boots for a hiking trip and Merrell you did not disappoint! So comfortable and sturdy. I tried them on right before the trip and knew immediately they did not need to be broke in. Wore them the entire trip without any issues. Glad I listened to the other reviews to size up, it’s a must!

Super comfy hiking shoe

I bought this hiking boot for summer hiking and so far have loved them. The are a very lightweight boot which is what I like for the summer months and have an extremely nice cushioning sole. Longest hike so far is 10 miles. I have hiked in snow and crossed streams and they appear to be water proof as advertised. The traction is great also.

Great buy
Most comfortable hiking shoes I’ve ever had. Was able to go three creeks and on beaches without worry of wet feet. Hiking 20+ miles each hike and not a sore foot to be had. Dare I say the best hiking boot ever!

I wish I could say they were better than meh
I was hopeful because I've gotten boots and shoes from Merrell before, but the cut of these boots for women is more like men's, the footbed most definitely wider than a B width, the footbed was just a little short, like Merrels can be, I had to order 1/2 size-up and put odor eater AND orthotic insert in the boot to make them fit. They pucker when I pull them tight enough, I can't stand that, smh. I've seen people complain about how cheap they seem, and part of that is fir breathability, like the tongue looks cheap with exposed foam, but I chalked that up to breathability, because the tongue also has numerous vent holes... It's a brown color, no plum to it. Though I kept them, I don't feel comfortable recommending them to other women unless they have kinda wide feet. Order 1/2 size up.

Dubious but impressed
Was a little dubious about the waterproof abilities, but they proved me wrong! Tested these on a week-long hiking trip, and they did not let me down. Hiked up a few mountains (one in the pouring rain 😅), through rivers and creeks, and muddy terrain and my feet stayed dry and comfortable! These shoes did not need to be broken in, ready out of the box! I sized up half a size, and they fit wonderfully!

Great buy!
Very comfortable and lightweight legs didn’t hurt. Went on a 10 day trip to Canada walking 5-7 miles a day and they kept my feet warm and dry. Never slipped on wet and snow roads. No break in time. Went up half a size. And glad I did. They wouldn’t have fit otherwise. Very happy with my purchase. Would buy again.
