The Torreya is one of the few family camping tents that can really bunker down in wetter weather, and Marmot upgraded with greater creature comforts for summer camping with the kids. We especially like that the tent's vestibule opens up into an awning for sitting under when it's partly rainy out.

Fantastic Tent
This tent is wonderful. It is easy to put up, and it will hold up to wind and rain. I can't say enough good things about the Torreya 6 person tent. Great design

This tent gives you multiple options
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have experience with few other high quality brands and this one is very practical and durable Marmot tent I wish it could be set up on a solid ground like concrete etc, also it would be great to be able to zipup all openings inside the first tent layer for extra insulation during the colder season I would definitely recommend this

Spacious & great featues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this in Utah & Az for a few weeks. It's just my wife and I now, in our 60's, so we love all the room. Great ventilation and windows, lots of pockets and very easy to set up. We like the awning too.

Huge and comfortable tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tent that is easy to set up, has tons of pockets and is comfortable. I am getting my young kids into camping and this provides us with the space we need. The tent has tons of great family friendly features and seems very durable.

Misengineered and dangerous
Misengineered and dangerous. This tent literally folded in half (top to floor) during a thunderstorm this afternoon. It was fully staked out with guidelines. No idea what else could have been done. Collapsed from above. Fancy pockets and zippers are meaningless when it can’t stand the weather. 0/10

Great choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tent. Easy to set up. Held up well to the wind and rain. And is quite spacious for a family of 4

Needed a lighter tent!
We got this tent because it fits on standard tent pads despite its large size. We have a Kodiak Canvas cabin, which is excellent but requires 2-3 hours to carry, pitch, and stake. We wanted this for a weekender and had it up the first time in about 20 minutes, and it weighs less than any single piece of the Kodiak. There are quality touches to the tent and intuitive color coding. Marmot always delivers.

Great size, but has some glaring issues
I purchased this tent a bit over a month ago and I have set it up 3 times for use. Once it rained overnight and the tent stayed dry inside. I also purchased the footprint for the tent. Pros: The floor in the front vestibule is nice The tent is really tall and roomy inside There are a lot of pockets in various places around the tent Setup is made easier by color coordinated straps, poles, and buckles Light diffusing pocket in the tent is a nice feature Cons: The grommets for the footprint are tight enough and won't easily stay connected to the poles without some extra work The window on the fly can only be opened from the outside A buckle on the rainfly broke the second time I used the tent The tent did not come with enough stakes for the guy lines. This is a bit mind-boggling to me for such a high-end tent. More on this later though, because it is an issue. The all mesh doors are not nice for privacy or wanting to sleep with the rainfly off. They also let in a lot of breeze which will be nice during the summer, but not as nice when it was colder The concerning part is that the fly touches the tent in around the area of the windows on both sides. I was told the only way to fix this is to use the guy lines, but as I mentioned above, the tent came with lines, but not enough stakes. This is also an issue because I do not camp in windy areas, and I have a kid running around. I don't want to have to set up a tripping hazard around my kid if I can help it. In my opinion, this is a huge deal. The fly should not touch the inner tent. Overall, I am pretty disappointed in this tent.

Great tent
We use it to car camp with our three school-age children. Quick and super easy to set up and take down, has done great in the (honestly fairly mild) rain we've seen so far. Fly vestibule area is great.
