As part of Marmot's M2 collection, the Men's Pro Tour Pant is suitable for backcountry touring in moderate conditions. GORE Infinium cuts back the chill with reliable windproofing, and it's ruggedly water-resistant to shed snow spray and light snowfall. This softshell is also fairly stretchy and incredibly breathable for comfort on the ascent. Ventilation zippers at each thigh amplify airflow to keep you cool. Marmot reinforced the cuffs with Cordura for abrasion-resistance against crampons and ski edges, and there are zippers to get the gaiters over your boots easier. The waist has adjustable tabs if you want to remove the suspenders.

Great pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fit, the material and the features. They're warm enough and check all the boxes for me

Good nordic pant
Great choice for backcountry and classic skiing. Well constructed and better than average ventilation. Somewhat odd fit in hips and thighs in relation to waist size. I needed to order up a size in waist to fit my thighs comfortably. Certainly superior construction to most nordic pants however.

Great, amazing with a tiny mod
These pants fit great, I love that they come in short because you don’t need that much length when you’re wearing them with ski boots and internal gaiter mountaineering boots. In fact I modified them to be even more versatile by adding a second snap post to tighten the legs up when mountaineering with my la sportiva built in gaiter single boots. It really cleans it up and reduces crampon snag.

My review is for a pair of these I bought in 2017. I just bought some replacements, not because the originals have worn out yet but rather because they are so good I want the same pants when the time comes. I wear these most everyday in the winter for backcountry skiing, resort uphill laps, riding the chair lifts, Nordic skiing, ice skating and snow blowing the driveway. I have a pair of hard shell pants but rarely use them any more. These keep the wind out great as well snow and some wet, thought the are not waterproof. The side zips are great and while these are not insulated I rarely were significant layers underneath. I wish the pockets where a little bigger, and perhaps external to the pants. But otherwise no complaints. The suspenders work great and are easy to remove for washing. A note on the sizing. In 2017 they ran large, I am a 36 waist but the 34?s fit perfectly. But now they are more true to size, the current 36 is what I needed for the new purchase.

Solid Option for High Output w/o looking Skimo
Good Touring Pant! Previously owned the OR Trailbreaker for about 6 years, and these are a lighter weight and more breathable option - which is good for high output activities. My only wish - is for mesh or removable gaiters! No one does this anymore, but it's the best way to incorporate breathability into the lower leg/boot area.

Great for lean build
Great quality. Athletic fit is good for my son’s lean build (6’-1”, 140lbs). He wanted a pant that wasn’t baggy or bulky and this pant is perfect. Removable suspenders are nice too.

Nice touring pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been able to tour in these once and am pleased so far. Good ventilation. Minimal insulation so you don’t overheat.

Meh
The pants run incredibly small. I bought a size larger and they are still not fitting properly.

Good but Sizing Didn't Work
I get hot in bibs and hate snow down my back, so ski pants with suspenders are my go to. The quality seemed good on these for the price point, but unfortunately they were way too short. I sized up to an XL hoping to get a little extra length, but still too short so I had to send them back. I'm 6' 2" and 190.

Good Pants for touring
I love these pants and they are a good price. I took them out about 15 times this season (got them in February). Kept me dry on wet snow days and breath well. I love the pockets and side vents. Zippers are solid and easy to open/close. They do seem a little fragile. On my first tour out I got a cut on the inside leg where the reinforced cuffs are (probably about 1/2 inch). Must have been from a ski edge. I also got some small holes from branches in them from various other tours. One small hole as well from an alpine ax snagging the soft part of the pant. I really thought they would last more than a season. Maybe this pair was just an anomaly.
