From dawn patrols in the mountains to chilly hikes on drizzly afternoons, the Marmot Women's Featherless Insulated Jacket is a streamlined insulated piece for layering up in the cold, damp conditions encountered in late autumn through winter months. 3M Thinsulate Featherless insulation packs high levels of warmth that's equivalent to 700-fill down insulation. Unlike down insulation however, these synthetic fibers retain lofting power through condensation and moisture-soaked environments to keep you warm as you explore wet environments.
Marmot's Zippin compatibility gives you the control to layer properly with compatible Marmot shells, meaning you can wear this insulated piece while skiing, snowboarding, and climbing in downright nasty conditions and demanding alpine routes. For easy packing, the jacket folds into the internal-zip pocket, which is especially useful for tossing it in your pack before travel and backcountry use. Moreover, Marmot's Angel Wing patterning promotes full range of motion for outdoor activities like climbing, skiing, and hiking.

Poor.
Small shoulders. Had to giveaway . I’ve been a medium in Marmot synthetic jackets since their first one and now suddenly the fit changes . I won’t go to a large because it comprises the function of paying so much for a technical jacket when the arms are too long and too baggy in chest and body to be able to accommodate shoulder rotation without pinching by jacket.

Light Warm Featherless Jacket.
This is the perfect jacket for me. I replaced a 15 year old Marmot jacket with the Featherless and can’t believe how much lighter it is. I live in the Pacific Northwest so I didn’t want down with all the rain we get. The style is slimming and I like it’s a little longer in the back.

Warm, lightweight, beautiful blue..a little short
A little bit short in length, but a beautiful blue color, lightweight but very warm, and possible to layer over and under (which I did often while skiing in temps 0-10F). Would recommend to anyone that is maybe shorter than 5’9” (or people with average length torsos..if you are tall or long in the torso, I probably would skip this one).

The Perfect Winter Versatile Jacket
This jacket is a great fit. It’s light and warm and fits perfectly under the Torrey EvoDry jacket. It looks and feels great whether I’m going to dinner or working outside. Highly recommended.

Lovely travel jacket
Very packable, extremely comfy. Only complaint is some leakage at arm seams in high wind; otherwise, very warm, attractive, and light!

Glad it snowed yesterday
Got a chance to wear it for the first time. Love it, just a little less classic than what I’d hoped for. But so light and warm! Can be used for a ton of occasions.

Great jacket, warm and travel friendly
I love this jacket! It's lightweight but super warm. It being some compact/packable also makes it great for traveling. The fit is also nice that's it's a little cut in to provide some shape for woman rather than just being a box cut. Tempted to buy in other colors but they were out of my size.

Marmot Featherless - great design, functional
Love the design of this Marmot jacket. Very flattering for a formfitting hourglass shape yet still offers a good range of movement in the shoulders/sleeves. The jacket keeps me warm to 20 degrees or so, depending on humidity, wind, and level of activity (if I'm in the city and it gets colder, I'd rather wear a longer coat.) Stitching detail and diamond pattern makes the jacket look sleek and great. My only complaint is that a few times the nonfeather filling has poked out. (Don't pull it, they're not feathers and might come out in strings. Pull it back in from the other side.) Washes well in machine gentle and keeps its shape. Still looks great after two years of wear. Order your usual size (when I sized up one I had to return it); if in between sizes, I'd go smaller. The curve of the jacket accommodates short to long waists and the back covers my bottom. The bottom hem has a hidden drawstring, which I never use but some might find it handy. Happily, the sleeves accommodate long arms but are easy to shorten by rolling under. The hem on the sleeves is taped so it's sleeker than gathered elastic. The jacket has an inside pocket parallel to the zipper, handy for a cell or smartphone. The two diagonal outside pockets can hold gloves, wallet, phone, a hat. The line is so great that for casual wear I avoid overstuffing the pockets. If you like to travel light, consider springing for the hooded version of this. This version has a nice high neck to keep out drafts, but if it's cold I add a hat. In some websites the colors have been off (didn't like the lavender, it had too much gray) but I've really liked the jewel tones and would love to see a bright light orange, too. If you're eager for an escape from boxy, this is it. Lots of compliments for this jacket.
