Expedition Mitten

The Marmot Expedition Mitten has a bulky, expedition‑style fit and some users report they run large, which is useful if you plan to wear liner gloves; others find sizing accurate without liners—check the size chart and consider your preferred dexterity and liner use.

Yes, the mittens feature a MemBrain waterproof/breathable insert to keep out wet snow while allowing moisture vapor to escape, and a DriClime wicking lining to help manage sweat.

The shell is a durable polyester plain weave with a reinforced washable leather palm (about 0.6–0.8 mm) for improved grip and abrasion resistance, plus a gauntlet cuff with drawcord and a taffeta cuff opening to seal out snow.

They’re designed for mountaineering, high‑altitude expeditions, all‑mountain skiing/snowboarding, and general use in bitter cold or high‑wind conditions; they’re bulky and warm, so they’re less ideal where high dexterity or mild‑temperature use is the priority.
