    Breathable softshell

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: S
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 135lbs

Great breathable softshell that serves its purpose. I've worn it for travel, hiking, climbing Mount Rainier, and it held up great under windy conditions. Also has harness-compatible pockets, all of which zip which is awesome. It's not windproof or waterproof - only part of a layering system. Got drenched wearing it in Iceland and unfortunately it took awhile to dry, but that's the only drawback.

    Do-it-all Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

This is a great jacket for nearly all conditions. It doesn't excel in extreme temps or when it is super rainy. However, most of the time, it is just right and plenty comfortable too.

    A rather light soft shell

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 160lbs

I purchased this to replace my 8 year-old Marmot. This is not the same jacket. It is much thinner, with no real insulation. I live in upstate NY, so this will work in late Spring or early Fall, but would need a fleece or vest if it gets colder than 50 F. On the plus side, it's stretches well, and the color is beautiful (magenta/ dark purple). I haven't tried it in real rain, but kept me dry in a light storm. It does run a bit small.

    Runs Small -

Awesome coat, runs small in the chest area but the coat is stretchy so it works. Black is not really black but more like a midnight blue color, still a nice coat , good hood , pockets in a weird location.

Love the color, but runs super small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 125lbs

I purchased this in the green color. I have the Marmot PreClip rain jacket that fits perfectly in XS, so I assumed that this would be the same in sizing, and have friends with Marmot softshells who agree with that assessment. It was too short and too tight in the arms, wrists, etc. Gorgeous, but size up! At least in the green. Unfortunately, the next size up for me was sold out. Not meant to be, I suppose.
