I've had this jacket for 3 yrs and it made it through 2 cold Montana winters. THE. BEST. I wore it on a few shorter MT hikes in the winter but really utilized for general cold weather.

I’m 5’10” and just shy of 200lbs. The large fit well all over - shoulders, chest, sleeves. The jacket felt like it was made well and would be a nice, warm down layer. I didn’t love the sienna red/light khaki colors. I’m not afraid to wear some “girlie” colors but this combo just looked too feminine for my preference.

I've worn this in 0 degree snowy weather in CO and it works great, anything above 40 and it is too warm. Lots of compliments on the look, the style is awesome. Fits normal I'm 5'10" 190 lbs and med fits a bit snug.

Love this thing, I wear L shirts and M jackets and it the M fits great 5'10" 190lbs. I live in CO so it's hard to find balance between warmth in 0-20 degree mornings and breathability and this fits the bill. I ride a train to work and rarely even start sweating with this on and it can get pretty warm on the train. Other jackets I've had that are this heavy I have to take them off or start sweating.

Great jacket for mid-Atlantic winters. Daytime temps in the winter here in central VA rarely dip below 20's and are often in the 30's. For that reason I was looking for a down jacket for those cool evenings at camp but I didn't need a heavy thick overly warm jacket. The 600 fill in this jacket is the perfect balance. It does fit somewhat small compared to some of the other jackets but I didn't want a baggy bulky jacket so That isn't a complaint. So far it has kept me very warm. Another great marmot product.

Thanks for the review Chad!

This jacket is very good looking and comfortable but seriously lacking insulation. The neck could be a little more substantial too. This jacket is a great mid layer that I have used between 38 and 50 degrees on windy days. This jacket would be better if the pillows had something in them and were not so flat. Like another reviewer said the crease from shipping does not come out, at least not yet.

I ordered the Moss/Midnight Forrest jacket. I'm 5'8 & weigh 120, so, I got the small one. It fits very well. Sadly, I was only able to wear it once after a winter storm in LA. YES, it can get cold in So. Cal. I got so many compliments on it. It's very comfortable and the colors are great. Btw, the description on here doesn't say, but, IT DOES have a zippered interior pocket. All in all, it's a superior jacket. I highly recomend it.

Ares Down Jacket Review

I really like the looks/style of the jacket. I got a small and the body is quite slim and the arms are a bit puffy. The arms also seem to have a permanent crease from being folded during shipping. It's been a few months and hasn't smoothed out. I feel like the proportion are a little off but otherwise nice. Light weight and warm.
