I have owned this jacket for 2 years now and I have to say, this is the best Gortex hard shell jacket I have ever owned. It is extremely waterproof, like in line with how a drysuit would be constructed. Everything about the jacket feels robust and durable. The best part is, this jacket actually has some stretch to it as well, unlike other jackets of a similar quality, if you cross yours arms in front of you, you can actually feel the fabric behind your shoulder blades stretch with your movement. I use this jacket ice climbing, ski touring and in heavy rain/storms. I am 5'6" and weigh 170lbs I wear a medium in this jacket but it is an athletic fit so if you plan to wear a lot of layers underneath maybe size up.
