Through waist-deep powder and pelting spindrift, we hunt the thrill of fresh lines in Mammut's Eiger Free Pro HS Hooded Jacket. The light yet burly build holds strong against pack straps, rock, and ice, lets our microclimate breathe easy, and shuts out the elements, keeping us dry and protected underneath. As we pivot, fly, and straight line down the mountain, the relaxed fit frees up our angles, and the anti-slip powder skirt and stretchy wrist gaiters stop spray from blowing in.

Perfect Ski Coat
I finally purchased a real top-end hard shell and I couldn't be happier. I really stressed about which one to buy, but picked this one because it is appeared to be the longest...I wanted it to come below my waist. It's not too hot to wear over just a base layer, and its ideal for layering with a puffy and more. The left hand zip takes some time to get used to. The high neck is also a little much if it's warm out, but I'm able to unzip about 4 inches and tuck it in so it doesn't hit my face. I love the big Velcro wrists and the wrist gaiters built in. It also has great pocket placement and pit zips. I'm 6'2" and 180 lbs. I'm mostly torso, and this jacket is still a great length for me (not too short). I purchased a Large. Again, its fine with just a base layer, and its plenty large with a puffy. I almost went with XL, but am glad i didn't. I would definitely buy it again...I'm looking to buy the matching bibs!

Great piece of tech clothing with exceptional water proofing. The bottom half of the main zipper came off but we were able to find it and get back on and it has not come off again.

An exceptional jacket of high quality and durability. XL fits my frame very well at 6'6" 210lb. Has been a great shell for resort skiing as well as touring. First jacket I've been able to use the pit vents with one hand easily.

Great free ride jacket.
The little things in this jacket are all well thought out. The zippers feel bombproof and the pockets are well organized.

Been wearing this for a few weeks in the outdoors mainly skiing. I`m 6` 205 and the lg is a perfect fit. You can tell the gore-tex is premium... Highly recommend.

Superb jacket! Great fit and performance
Lightweight feeling but solid construction. Great for tough weather conditions... and looks great! Hood and pockets are perfect. Cuff is a bit much but keeps snow out.

Well built, some geometry fitting issues
The jacket itself is stellar with a few things that could be improved. I'm 5'9" and bought a medium, and my thoughts are as follows: The bad: -the powder skirt is too tight on the widest setting. -the zipper is a bit tough to engage. -when doing any bending over (my primary use is snowboarding) it feels like the cut is a bit tight at the waist. -the main pockets for my hands at the bottom of the shell barely open wide enough to fit my hands in with the end of the sleeves. - the hood is very baggy, and is only useable with a helmet. The good: - I do like how long the jacket is. - the materials and construction seem bomber. - the style is really nice, and is very comfortable for hiking the local ski hill in.

So far so good
I took the jacket one day in a resort and one backcountry the main zipper pull broke the first time I used it but the warranty was super helpful and I replaced it quicky.
