Why We Like The Mammut Eiger Free Pro HS Bib Pant
Big mountain riding calls for a super protective and fully-featured bib pant: The Mammut Eiger Free Pro HS Bib Pant is our go-to for freeriding and ski touring. Made with GORE-TEX Pro 3-layer fabric, the Eiger Free Pro HS Bib Pant is fully waterproof and breathable to take on the deepest of snow conditions. Dual side zips allow us to let off excess heat when we're getting too hot, and the bib uppers are fixed and adjustable to give us the best fit possible. Two zippered thigh pockets and a zippered bib pocket that can accommodate an avalanche beacon store all our essentials for a day on the mountain. Plus, integrated snow gaiters keep the snow out of our pants, and a cuff adjustment allows us to tailor the leg opening to our boot width.

Too tight in chest

Perfect fit except the top was too tight with no way to adjust. Top has elastic but there is almost no stretch. Only one side zipper goes to the top the other side zipper is just a vent. Lowering the bib straps made it ride lower but even more baggy in the legs. Just not a good design for high end pants. Expected better for the price.

Fantastic Bib. Probably best on the market. I have been using it for both patrolling and free skiing. Waterproofing is great never failed me. The bottom of the pant is scratch resistant. Been skiing hard on them and there's not a single scratch. Only flaw I've found is the beacon pocket is a little sticky so it takes a few seconds to pull the beacon out.

Very high performing ski bottoms
I've skied in these 3 times so far this season and they've performed spectacularly. It's been hard for me to find ski pants that come in a long size so I've also particularly enjoyed that. The pants offer excellent water/snow protection and has great ventilation on both sides. It's also nice there is an fly in the front for easy access but like most bibs sitting down to use the bathroom isn't the best. The insulated phone pocket has also been a game changer with the my old iPhone lasting noticeably longer than in past seasons.
