The Mammut Women's Convey Tour HS Hooded Jacket takes up very little space in backpacks, and provides the rugged weather protection required for trekking in inclement weather. Gore-Tex gives reliable waterproofing and comfortable breathability when you're hoofing it up a trail, and there are ventilation zippers if you're too warm anyway. A 2.5-layer construction creates a very thin fabric that packs small and weighs less than most hardshells.
