- Q & A
Tacky grip and good trail feedback
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These are a relatively new model so I figured I'd give them a shot. One side of the grips has a pattern with vertical grooves that flex for some nice cushion. This side needs to be positioned under your palm with the lizard skins logo fitting between your thumb and index finger. This pattern actually does a pretty good job cushioning your palm from impacts. It helps on long climbs too when there is extended pressure on your palms. The other side has a raised checkerboard pattern to give your fingers the best grip possible where they wrap around. This pattern works well too even when the grips get wet.
They are relatively thin grips so the feedback from the trail is good, they don't numb trail features. They are also pretty wide, allowing you to take multiple positions on the bar. I had to move my levers further inboard to accommodate. Integrated bar ends keep you from getting impaled and also protect your handlebars from impacts. Overall I like them and would buy again.
