Perfect minimalist casual boot
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 44
Lems are great boots. I've worn them for a couple of years and they are comfortable and have held up well for daily casual use. The best feature is the wide toe box that allows for proper weight distribution across the toes and flexibility of the forefoot. The flat rubber sole has worn well. The shoe is light and bends easily, so it's a proper minimalist boot. Check out the Lems story on their site. Great design! Thanks for making these!

Not a minimal boot
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 8.5
- Height:
- 5' 10"
- Weight:
- 150
So this is a nicely made boot and very confortable but I would not consider it a minimal shoe. I wear moccasins, Xeros and Vivobarefoot shoes that have both longitudial and torsonal flexibility, zero heel lift and no arch. These Lems were a disappointment for me. They are somewhat flexible the long way but side to side/tortionally they are rigid with a "square" heel that does not allow the foot to move naturally, I actually hurt my foot walking in these. They also have minimal heel lift and a small arch :( So anyway, nice light boot but not a minimal shoe that will exercise your feet properly.
