Cute design, no where near true to size
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 12
The pants are cute but have so much stretch that I needed to size down 2 sizes to get a fit that didn’t sag massively unpleasantly on a 7-10 mile hike. Since it took several hikes in each size to figure this out I’m now stuck with two sets of not inexpensive pants I can’t wear. Bummer!

My new favorite pants!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 4
- Height:
- 5' 7"
- Weight:
- 130
I bought these as an alternative to jeans for work (casual yet sometimes physical workplace) and I love the fit and the look. I actually bought a 4 and a 6, honestly the sizes are very similar. The 4 seemed a tiny bit small but by mid-day they felt better, almost loose. Drawstring on the inside is very clever although I didn't need it on the 4. The waist did not gape in the back at all. ( I hate that!) I am 5'7'' and the length was perfect. Back pockets are flattering.

First disappointment with Kuhl
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have several pair of Kuhl pants, several tops, etc. This is the first time I've been disappointed in their product. I am 5'5" and the pants were to long. The inseam hangs low, making it uncomfortable for hiking. Yes, they have a cinch string but you have to pull them up by putting your hands in your pants, not from the ankle. The cinch pulls from the outside only, and I prefer to keep my boot covered for many reasons. My main problem is the zip pocket on the side of the leg is too low for someone my height. It is not on the thigh as pictured. When I put a phone in the pocket, the phone slides around to the back of my knee, making it difficult to bend the knee. I love the gray color and back pockets are flattering. I still love this brand and but just not these pants.
