Stay dry out there.
Fall hiking can leave you with some of the most stunning imagery that one person can take in, but it also lends itself to temperamental weather, sometimes rain storms, flurries, whipping winds, sometimes scorching afternoons with the sun beating down on you. Unpredictable weather is a small price to pay for enjoying the stunning leaves that cast warm shadows on your skin, as you ascend into the woods, listening to the geese as they make their way south. When you're unsure of what the days weather may hold, but are itching to get on the trail no matter what, slide into a pair of the Kuhl Jetstream Rain Pants for support come rain or shine. With Kuhl's Airskape fabric you'll find that moisture and sweat is wicked away from your skin to stay dry, and a DWR coating keeps water from outside where it belongs. Kuhl's style comes through on the Jetstream with tech features, like 12in zippers at the bottom of the leg for easy on and off, with no struggle over the tops of your boots, and water resistant pockets to keep your essentials safe. A gusseted crotch boosts your range of motion, making these great for hiking, camping, or even commuting in inclement weather.

- Q & A
Waterproof, but size a question
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 34
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: 200lbs
I liked the product from the web views. I bought it for several reasons:
3) Not ‘your typical’ swishy rain pant
First the waterproofness has proven accurate. I have worn several times whether to protect from morning dew or light rain and have stayed comepltely dry. As far as this aspect is concerned I am satisfied as these were not intended to replace my dedicated rain gear. (It may be able to, but have not yet had the opportunity to test).
Second - the style is second to none. Wished they would remove the thigh pocket at then they would almost pass for jeans, but they run larger than I was used to. Would typically wear a 34 (and have in other Kuhl products) but might have been better with a 33’ or possibly a 32’.
Lastly, a reviewer said that they were not ‘swishy’ like typical rain pants. THEY ARE! This should not be an issue with anyone, but I was expecting a more ‘athleasure/jean’ like experience. Definitely not, but overall would rate excellent for their intended purpose - to keep me dry in a more ‘stylish’ product. (To KUHL - loose the thigh pocket!).
Love these, rain or snow
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 30x30
- Height: 6'
- Weight: 160lbs
I've been consistently pleased by how completely waterproof these are, but the most amazing thing about them is the fit and how casual they look! I can wear thin pants under them or just wear them as is and I don't need a belt, they fit like a glove, don't chafe or pinch anywhere and they look like any other pair of Kuhl brand pants. big fan
