Anotha one

Boys will be boys. My dad's best friend was jealous of his boots, so he got his own pair. He just got a dog and walks him three times a day in whatever weather, and my dad said these boots have been an absolute dream ... no surprise there, since my dad loves his pair so much, too! They both love the wide width and think it gives a little extra cushion for socks when it's super cold.

Second pair for my dad.

My dad is obsessed with these boots. He walks the dogs twice a day down at the water or by the river close to our house in the often wet and cold fall/winter climate of Connecticut ... these boots never disappoint, and this is his second pair. He loves the wide width because it gives a little extra room for a bunion he has on one of his feet (lucky me, I've got this too so I know how important it is!) and it also allows for cold weather socks. Perfectoooo.

I wear these boots everyday to work or out on the town and for hiking. I work part on my feet and part at a desk with some outdoors thrown in there as well. I picked these up 3 years ago at a local shop and still wearing them to this day highly recommend these boots.

Gave these to my dad for christmas with hopes that he could have a fresh start hiking into the new year. He loves hiking but has always hiked in bargain brand shoes. So far, doing some lite hikes and yard work, he's enjoying them for their nice wide last and snug heel. He did need a half size up from his standard 11.5, but aside from that they seem to be a hit. He likes that they took very little time to break in and he attributes that to the soft leather.

Great Stability and Quick Breakin

This boot has a wider foot box which gives it a more stable feel. The break in time on these boots was relatively none. I did one hike of about one mile on flat ground just to test them out, but by the second day I used them to summit 11,000+ ft. peak. I've used them for about a year now and they still show minimal signs of wear. The waterproofing is great, and even though the design is a mid boot, they don't feel restrictive. They breath well for a waterproof boot. I'm very pleased with the boot. I got a half size small because I have a narrower foot.

If you have wide feet and like good support these are the boots. They are so comfortable and easy to break in. Virtually no breakin time. Very durable and minimal wear with hard use.

Best Purchase!

Hubby has been struggling with hiking since becoming an amputee a few years ago. I ordered these for him to try and he doesn't want to take them off. He is walking (roads) around 5 miles every morning and spends the week planning where we are going hiking on the weekend! Great comfort and stability, SO HAPPY to find these and get him back on track!!!

Wonderful Boot

I purchased this boots a replacement for my boyfriend as he not only does quite a bit of hiking on trails, but he also landscapes 5 days a week (10+ hour days). This is the only boot we have found that has held up to the abuse that he and landscaping can put on the shoes. Great design, comfortable, and offers great ankle protection without getting too toasty in the summer heat. Where other shoes have failed within a month or two, these have held up for a full year of hard work and play before they finally have had enough. Would highly recommend to anyone. As long as Keen carries this shoe, this will be our go to style for years to come. As for sizing, I know everyone tends to have a slightly different view. His foot is a bit on the wide side so we have found sizing to be spot on. If you are not a wide however, you may find this a bit more roomy than other styles.

10.0

I purchased these for my dad for Christmas. He is an avid backpacker and all round gnarly outdoorsman... This is what he sent me after wearing these boots: "The most comfortable boot right out of the box that I have ever put on. Have logged about 25 miles in them so far and they feel great. I am anxious to test the waterproofness, just haven’t found any creeks to cross. Will send an update when I do." My dad is usually a 10.5 but these run a bit large and the 10.0 turned out to be the perfect fit. And the wide was essential for him! Makes all the difference on a long trip in the backwoods.

What is the difference between these and the Targhee II MID-TAC's? I've read both descriptions and specs it seems like one is simply lighter than the other.
