These boots be rockin!!!
I really like these boots. I'm always a little weary about hiking boots, especially ordering over the net, because I am a retired dancer, classically trained in ballet!! So, I have lots of weird bumps, and knots on my feet! And it's really hard for me to find good shoes! Well, let me tell you these boots rock! They fit really snug around my ankle, and are hard to pull on, which i felt was a really good sign!! After slippin these babies on, I was immediately struck with how well they fit! I have worn them several times, for some really nice lengthy treks, and all is good! I wonder though if you guys could put a little more sticky rubber on the soles, you know like climbing shoes rubber??? Might be cool! Hope this helps! I will for sure be ordering more Keen's!!

My favorite boot yet!
No reviews?! I bought these back in the fall and hiked about 90 miles right out of the box in them over the course of a couple months along the AT in NE Pennsylvania (the rockiest section of the entire AT). I've never worn hiking boots before so I cinched them tight around my ankles to tackle the extremely rocky trails. Well little did I know that I had no need for this and bruised my ankles very badly. The boot material is very rugged and I had no idea this would happen so it's not entirely Keen's fault for this. I'll chalk it up to user error. That's the only reason I would give these 4 out of 5 stars. Other than that mishap, now keeping the top lace loops very loose, these boots are fantastic. They look completely beaten up but still perform perfectly. They're very comfortable and I can fit medium and thick socks on with no problems or hot spots.

Anybody know if these are a high volume boot? I actually have a low volume foot (narrow and flat) and am wondering if these might work for me. Keen winter boots seem to run wider but i do have 2 Keen dress shoes and they've worked great for me. Any thoughts?

Hey Dancia, The Pyrenees is a lower volume boot and run wide like you dress shoes. Jerry

I need a size 5 or 5.5 and that's hard to find. Any suggestions for a lightweight full or mid boot?

I didn't see any on this site but you can find good deals online for the Vasque Breeze (good light Goretex boot) and several models of Asolo's which are generally reviewed as good boots. If this helped please Thumbs Up. Thanks
