Dependability for your undependable explorer.
Children are unpredictable. For just such a reason did Keen introduce the Girls' Newport H2 Sandal, an essential hybrid sandal for young adventurers. The Newport falls somewhere between water-romping and trail-stomping use, an ideal choice for treks involving both known elements and unpredictable ones in between. Unaffected by water, the polyester webbing upper dries quickly and keeps the entire shoe lightweight. Secure the Newport on your daughters foot with a lace capture system and an instep hook-and-loop strap. Keen treated the mesh lining with an Aegis microbe shield to block the nasty microbes that cause odor and deteriorate the footbed. A layer of tough, non-marking rubber sits between your daughter and whatever terrain happens to be underfoot, gripping on wet and slippery surfaces alike.

- Q & A
buying a second pair!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
Although I am an adult, I can wear a youth size 4. So, I have never owned a women's Keen Sandal. But, I love my youth Newport H2's!! I have had them now for 4 years. They have stomped up and down mountains, sloshed through creeks and marshes and have even taken me through jungle trails in the Philippines. I basically live in these sandals all summer long. I love the fact that they wash so easily, I can wear socks with them if I want, they act like a sandal but also protect my toes, the velcro on them never stops sticking, they grip like a mountain goat on land or water, and..even after all the beatings I have given them, they still are in great shape! The ONLY reason I am getting a second pair? Because my family would really like to see a different color on my feet. I am a 56 year old grandma. I have to use prescription orthotics in all my shoes except for my Keens. I have canvas Keens, Keen hiking boots, and Keen sandals. They are the only brand I know of, that is shaped like a real human foot and therefore feel good, the minute you try them on. No need to "break them in" or worry that they will start to rub or hurt, after wearing them for a day. My grandkids all have them also. If I were raising kids again, I would not buy anything but a Keen sandal for them. Aside from all the reasons above, they are extremely easy to get on and off. The only downside I can think of? The younger children will never get new ones because Keen sandals are next to impossible to wear out.
