Why We Like The Rope Bag
Messenger bags are a dime a dozen these days, but the Kavu Women's Rope Bag Purse breaks the mold with a design that sits somewhere between a daypack, purse, and messenger bag. The rope shoulder strap gives this bag a unique look, while the adjustable webbing along the lower portion of the strap allows you to make quick adjustments to the length of the strap when you want to wear it across your body or over a single shoulder. Two vertical zip pockets grant easy access to small essentials, and the durable cotton canvas fabric withstands heavy wear from day-to-day life in the city.

Creative, stylish, functional, and durable. Two larger pockets (with vertical zippers) hold books, an extra shirt, and 1 to 2 water bottles. Zipper pocket on the inside of the bag for car keys or wallet. Two outside pockets seem designed for a cell phone (medium pocket) and a deck of cards (smallest pocket). I would avoid this as a primary travel bag. Think of it more as a purse or a “day pack”. I bought it for my wife who is 5’ 1” and she said it was too big. So now I wear it (I’m 5’9”).

The Perfect Size!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This is the perfect size for a wallet, one diaper, and a small container of wipes. I’ve used it instead of my diaper bag every single time I’ve been out with my kids and I’ve received like 4 compliments. I’m super impressed!

Versatile Bag

You can’t get more versatile than this for a bag in my opinion. I can get sunglasses and my phone in the front. In one side, I can fit a Kanken makeup bag full of stuff, a note pad, and a change purse with room to spare. On the other side, I keep 3 Baggus, my keys, and my air pods. I’ve worn it across my back and tossed over one shoulder. It’s comfortable both ways. The only thing I’d change is I’d put a larger piece of Velcro on the pocket for glasses. That’s not a deal breaker, though. You just need to make sure it’s closed.

Surprisingly Impractical
- Familiarity:

First off the design is cute, and the patterns are fun. I think that's the draw for this bag. However, I've discovered that it is pretty impractical if you carry more than a handful of small items, and then at that point you're basically just carrying an empty backpack with you. The pockets on the front are pretty small. One only fits my iPhone and a chapstick, and the other can hold my pocket knife and pens in the other and then it's full. The main compartments are also kind of odd. You could fit a tablet in there, and I got a some snacks in there in on the other side. But it was just way too small of compartments, just because of the shape. Then there is the zipper compartment on the inside.....it's basically unusable! I have an iPhone SE, which is one of the smaller iPhones. I can't fit it in there. It's narrow and shallow. I can't even fit some pens in it! It's only good to stash my keys and that's it. I basically paid for an extra pocket that I can't even use. I don't get why it's there, and they should make it deeper so it's more functional. For as expensive as these are, they just seem like they weren't completely thought out. I wanted to like it because I had a friend who owns one and seemed to enjoy it. The best thing about it is that it's a sling bag so it stays out of the way when you're doing things, and it's comfortable to carry. Just get a regular backpack! You'll have more room and organization.
