This thing takes some serious squeeze to get any rewarding flow going. I'm a fairly large strong man and I have to give this thing the two handed business along with sucking a bit to get ANY flow going. Not as easy to come by as the LifeStraw bottle. Katadyn makes a less stringent single filter on the go system in the BeFree model (packable/ deflatable 0.6 L) water sack that's pretty slick. If you're not filling up in some seriously compromised water, that's the ticket.
So here we go peeps... If you need a bottle that can filter almost anything(except maybe biohazardious waste), need something almost bomb proof and something that makes you look like you know what you are doing 20 miles into the wilderness, this is the product for you!
Can't say enough good things about it. The only hangup is the fact that it takes a hefty grip to get the H20 flowing, but what do you expect, there are multiple filters in which the water has to channel itself through. Bottom line: Get this bottle if you are a serious outdoor enthusiast and need something on the go!
goes the distance
great filter that fits easily in the bottle and light weight. good for about 200 fill ups. a little pricier than some of the other filtration systems but you get what you pay for.
Necessary but pricey!!!
Definetly needed to keep your bottle flowing but $35.00? I paid $50.00 for the whole bottle!!!
is this the replacement filter for the...
is this the replacement filter for the MyBottle microfilter?
no, the microfilter needs a different replacement that backcountry does not seem to sell.
