Stem Mount for Garmin Computers
We’ve burned through enough O-rings and plastic discs that when we upgrade to a new Garmin, all those stock mounts go in the parts box for a rainy day. Instead, you’ll find K-Edge’s excellent mounts on the majority of our bikes, and it’s because they simply work. This adjustable stem mount is designed for high-rise stems, mountain biking, or triathlon use –basically, any time your stem is short-ish, and you might need a bit of an angle to clear the bars. The adjustability is particularly helpful if you run one of the larger Garmin computers.
The Stem Mount takes the place of your top headset spacer, and has a small bolt to fix the angle. Once you’ve got it swapped out, you’ll likely never worry about it again.

High quality, bad fit

The product is made very well and it's good to see replaceable parts for the plastic retainer. The down side is that it doesn't have a universal fit, the washer is just too large to fit on my bike. The fit is sloppy and doesn't stay in place once a longer screw was to get the fit to "work". For reference I have a Specialized Roubaix Pro

Like everyone else...
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Did not fit on my bike, using this as the top spacer, there was too much angle and could not connect the garmin unit. Had this installed off to the side of the stem but after the first crash the inner plastic holding the garmim broke away. Probably a strategic failure point so the garmin isn't broke, which is appreciated but the mount is now useless.

As described and worth it

Straight forward and simple. A better mount than the traditional Garmin options, including the out-front handlebar mount when you're mounting this to a mountain bike. The only downside would be that you have to mount it at the top of your steerer tube for the computer (I have a 530) to mount. If you have any steerer tube length above this mount, it won't fit. I originally wanted the computer to be flush with my stem, but I had to leave an extra 5mm spacer under this mount for my computer to mount.

Does Not Work on my bike

I contacted my Gear Head and told them what bike I have and which computer I have. They said this would work with my setup. I installed the stem mount and immediately knew it would not work. You must have a flat stem or very little rise for this to work with the larger computers. I have an Edge 830.
