Overhauled for 2016, the Jones Explorer Wide Splitboard offers an affordable solution to slaying the backcountry lines of your dreams, all without sacrificing performance or durability. This wide-waisted splitboard is ideal for those with feet sized 11 and up, giving big-footed riders a proper platform for backcountry domination without toe drag.

This extremely versatile board combines freeride shaping with a freestyle-specific flex. Its medium flex is softer than Jones' popular freeride boards, such as the Flagship or Solution Splitboard, making it ideal for taking a more playful approach to backcountry riding. Directional in shape, the board's pointy, prominent nose rises early with a substantial dose of rocker to enhance float through deep, untracked snow. Balancing things out, the freestyle-shaped tail retains the poppy feel needed to send stylish airs off side-hits and cliff drops.

Inside this all-terrain touring machine, the Classic Core is made of full poplar wood for a consistent flex from tip-to-tail, with enough durability to withstand regular use and abuse in the backcountry. Biax fiberglass delivers a bit looser torsional flex for effortless edge-to-edge transitions, as well as a slashy feel when you're surfing through pow. Other notable features include bamboo inner sidewalls, Mellow Magne-Traction along the outside edges for locked-in grip on hardpack, as well as a speedy-fast Sintered 7000 base for incredible glide.
