    Great everyday base layer!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'1"
    • Weight: 110lbs

I bought one of these shirts for my wife a while back and she loved it so much I had to buy another one. She wears this shirt every day to work and it has held up great to everyday wear and tear.

    My go--to top

    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 150lbs

Merino wool is now my staple all-day/all-around long-sleeve top, indoors and out (as a layer). The jewel colors are beautiful, the cut flattering--Large offers more softness than close-to-skin for my Medium active-senior build. Gentle, easy-to-wash maintenance, little pilling. Looks great with a necklace or casual with jeans. An Icebreaker sale seals the deal!

    New Go To Layer

    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 128lbs

I find myself reaching for this perfect layer on almost every outing I go on these days. It's super comfy, keeps me warm but also wicks away sweat when I'm working, and is virtually un-stinkable. This crew is also flattering, fitted, and a great length for me. Though I have been using synthetics for awhile now in place of cotton, the extra investment for wool is completely worth it! Will be getting more colors for sure.

    Near Perfect Baselayer

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I picked this up for my girlfriend to wear as her primary baselayer during a trip to Iceland. It quickly became her new favorite layer for travel.

The benefits of merino are well documented and I'm happy to say they apply 100% to this piece from Icebreaker. Not once did my girlfriend complain about her regulating her core temperature while wearing this layer. And after a week of unexpectedly heavy use, she was impressed at the relative lack of odor.

Truth be told, this piece is almost good enough looking to wear on its own.

    wear all the time

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 135lbs

This was my first merino baselayer purchase. The shirt is soft and looks great on its own or pulled over a tee (I have the teal color). The medium fit great (I am 5'3" 135-140lbs, 34D). I originally bought the shirt for a 3 night backpacking trip to the Maroon Bells in CO, where the weather was ranging from 75 down to 35. This shirt was great and I rarely took it off. Didn't hold any odors and a tomato sauce stain came right out when I washed it at home. I wear the shirt to work, while shopping or just at the house. I love this shirt and will purchase another color in the future!

    She liked it

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Gave this as a gift to my Cousins lady and she liked it. The fabric is nice and soft especially after you wash it and she loved the Vino color.

Nice top that can be used in lots of conditions being made from lightweight merino. You can use it as a base layer for winter or as a main top for warmer weather.

    Pretty impressed

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 120lbs

This is a great top. TIhe quality of the fabric, warmth (but breathability), stretch, and fit are all pretty amazing. I bought this for performance wear, but it looks and feels so nice I am starting to think I should wear it casually instead.

    Great thin base layer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Soft material, true to size. The material is made as a lightweight base layers, a bit transparent but not bulky and comfortable to wear under almost anything.

My Go To Shirt for Layering

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 120lbs

This has become my go-to shirt to wear as a winter layer. I wear it around the office under a drapey sweater, skiing as a base layer, and around the house on the weekend. It's comfortable, warm, and does not fade.

    Basic is good ;)

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 140lbs

No itch, no stink, good fit, keeps you warm with little weight and no bulk at all...can't ask for more!

    Great for fall floatin'

The Crew Top keeping me warm on a 50s somethin day on the water in early November. This top is super comfy and does not inhibit movement in the least. I like the new fit because the top didn't come up or show skin while paddling. I thought versions from years past were on the short side. This fit is way better.

    Great for fall floatin'

    Quality, performance and looks great!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Sometimes it is difficult to find a great layering piece that you can trust to perform when you need it to and also look great when you stop in the ski lodge for some apres beverages or run errands around town after a hike. This Everyday Crew from Icebreaker offers exactly that!

I've used this top on several Fall and early Winter hikes and found myself keeping cool if I broke a sweat and staying warm when it was chillier outside after leaving the hot springs on a snowy day. There is no need to head home or to the car to change before going about town afterwards either because this top looks great on its own, and the cruise color is very striking!

I highly recommend Icebreaker's Merino wool baselayers because the quality and performance can be trusted. And for the price of this lightweight layering top you really can't go wrong!

I am 5'4'' 125 lbs and a B cup chest, the size small fits great, next to skin but not tight/compression.

    Initial Impressions

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

A good layer is like a loyal friend. Always keeping you warm with hugs, down for a coffee or an early-morning backcountry tour at any point and of course, smells nice. This Everyday Crew Top is an essential basic as loyal as any bff, and I've loved spending lots of quality time together.

Icebreaker recently retooled the fit of their baselayers, and while I found the sizing in bottoms to run large, I think the fit on this top is spot on. It's longer and leaner than other Icebreaker tops I've owned, and this I really like. This improved fit gives a more flattering silhouette and ensures no skin will be showing. The back comes quite low, preventing any chance of plumber crack.

I am 5'3" and 120 lbs with a B cup chest and the size Small is perfect. I found the sleeves to be a little bit on the long side, but I actually like that in a baselayer because it helps keep my hands warm while touring. I have a shorter wingspan so I suspect average sized women won't have a problem with sleeve length.

As always the Icebreaker fabric is super soft to the touch, cozy and comfortable. I always wash my IB gear one time before using, because it just gets softer with each wash. I ALWAYS air dry my merino gear to ensure longevity of the fibers and prevent shrinkage.

This will be getting a ton of use this winter in backcountry skiing, resort skiing, hiking, running etc. A super versatile layer that can double as a casual/nice top when paired with a nice necklace or scarf.

LOVE the blue 'Cruise' color - it's gorgeous. I would say it's a bit brighter than pictured.

    Unanswered Question

I am 5'51/2, 129#, and A cup chest, but sort of wide shoulders. Do you think I should get a small or medium?
