    A good base layer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: small
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 130lbs

The IceBreaker BodyFit 150-Ultralight Anatomica Crew is an excellent base layer for active sports. It is warm and transfers moisture well. The fabric is soft and smooth to wear next to the skin. The sleeves are nice and long to prevent drafts. This is my third IceBreaker base layer over the last couple years. My only complaint is the moths like them too.

    the seam is a turn-off

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 180lbs

I've got black, long sleeve option, and it has big fat light-colored seams running down both sides of the crew, sleeves included. I also own the 200 and the 175 versions of this crew. The 200 does have seams on the outside, but those are flat, black, and not as unseemly. The 175 has all of its seams hidden, so, look-wise, best of the three.

Although I wasn't planning to wear it on it's own, I would have liked to have this option available, but the seam puts it squarely in the underwear category. My main beef is that you can't tell the seam is there from the photos and I feel somewhat cheated. Would I've known I would've bought another 175 instead.

My favourite all season base layer

This product (as most of Icebreaker products) doesn't really need any more praise, but I couldn't resist. This is definitely my favourite t-shirt -- not just base layer.

Some practical info that people might actually find useful:

All my clothing is normally size L with European brands, but with the US ones, it's always a hit or miss when I order online as it's always between M and L, and neither works.

Icebreaker has a really nice 42 chest L, which hits the sweet spot. For this struggling to fit into M and not fall out of L -- look no further.

PS: I also have longsleeve version of this and the following I can say about both of them

It's super lightweight, yet amazingly warm. I'm currently in Russia and winters are harsh, but this ultra thin base layer and simple fleece hoodie underneath a wind/rain shell keep me nice and toasty while walking in the woods on photo trips at -10C. I was blown away by the warmth and moisture wicking it provides. (It does get warm and steamy when I scramble up a hill through a sea of powder, but this shirt is incredibly good at dealing with moisture and temperature regulation).

    Perfect base layer!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

This shirt is the perfect base layer. I use it for hiking, biking, dirt biking. It is becoming my go to base layer over Under Armour and other similar garments. The addition of spandex really makes the shirt. It hugs your body all day. I prefer this shirt to the icebreakers without spandex because it doesn't stretch out. I'll be buying the short sleeve and sleeveless versions as well!

Amazing material for light wind to cold

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XXL
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 195lbs

I love icebreaker and this one is one of m favourite. It can be worn on jeans plain or as an undergarment. Comfy, wicks, breathes, keeps you warm only when you need it - it's like it knows! Only three rules of caution (like with Gizmo) - 1. Size up: XXL is not that big. 2. You will not just buy one. 3. Never ever whatever you do put it in the dryer!

    Bomb proof

    • Fit: Runs small

Wow just wow I love how tuff these baselayers are. I bought this thing because where I live it can be 70 degrees to start the day and then halfway through the temp with drop down to like 30. with this it is thin enough to vent all the heat and keep you cool and then let all that moisture evaporate right off when it get cold and turn around and keep you super warm.

Back to those Early Morning MTB Rides!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Each year when the temperature cools down as fall starts to bring us the chilly air, I hesitate to jump on my bike for those early morning mountain bike rides. You know those rides when the singletrack is still moist and tacky, the kind of rides you can only get before the sun comes up.

    Well…I hesitate no more!

The Icebreaker Anatomica 150 is PERFECT for helping you ease back into the cold weather as winter approaches. It’s so comfy that I now sleep in it before the next morning’s earlybird ride.

Granted, I live in Southern California, the base layer really helps when I wear the Anatomica 150 under my longsleeve jersey. I know, I know, you folks that are getting snow right now would like to throw a snowball in my face. BUT…we Southern Californians throw on sweaters when it gets below 70 degrees out #FACT

My early morning rides have been getting down to the low 40’s and that’s a drastic change from the mid 60 mornings we’ve been living with all summer long.

Ultimately, your situation is probably the same as mine, just in cooler temps…right?

Winter weather often prevents you from being as active as you were in the summer. So, I'd absolutely suggest using the Anatomic Body Fit 150 Ultralight Long Sleeve Crew to help you ease back into the cold weather, no matter where in the world you like to be active!

+ Lightweight but still kept me completely warm

+ No issues with color fading or shrinking after a good 20 washes

    - Only one issue I had was that I'm a sweaty guy and I totally soaked this crew and it stayed soaked. I expect the fact that I had this under my cycling jersey caused it to stay soaked. I expect that Runners will likely have a better experience with moisture (unless you are using it as a base layer like I did)

Tips: For those of you who don't read labels...I don't put this crew in the dryer and I don't suggest you do the same.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I bought this for adventure biking purposes. It is amazing how comfortable it is and how it regulates body temperature. As of now I've worn it in really hot and humid weather and in a chill night. I didn't get extremely hot nor cold. I also wore it 4 days while biking and it didn't smell bad. I still have to put it through more abuse, but I'm sure it will stand strong.

    Don't hesitate!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I bought my first as a base layer for road cycling and now find I wear it almost everywhere. I was worried that it wouldn't be comfortable, but it fits like a second skin, never itches, and--shockingly--never gets smelly. For cooler days, I wear a top sweater, but indoors this is perfect cool weather wear. Cycling, it will replace arm warmers with the added benefit that cold air won't be making it into any gap. Even if it warms up on your ride the shirt seems to be cool if it needs to be. The picture I wish I had to share is that of my son's shirt (he gifted me my first 150). He wore one shirt for much of his thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. He loved it, but it paid the price of being beneath his 40 lb. backpack for 2,100+ miles and by the end its back was as shredded as the Stars and Stripes above Ft. McHenry, and he was still wearing it.

    soft and smooth

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I'm a huge fan of Icebreaker pieces, and this is no exception. It's soft, smooth and fits extremely well. Just skied the Pfeifferhorn and now you've gotta meet that cutie in the Tram Club for a drink? Forgot another shirt? No problem! This shirt's got you covered! Form-flattering and anti-microbial (that's anti-funk to the laymen), this shirt will keep you looking good and have her leaning in to feel how soft it is. Highly recommended.

I'm roughly 6'2" and about 170 pounds. I usually wear a large in Icebreaker and the large in this fits like a dream.
