Great shoes
Overall great shoes and I love the colors too. Only issues I have is I have to tie them really tight to keep my heel from feeling like it's coming out. And the laces are round, to me they just never feel like they'll stay and you need to double knot them.

Love the fit and color
Wear it all the time the fit and functionality of it were exactly as I had hoped. Good heel toe transition with great breathability I work 8 hrs and have no sweat.

Love the narrower fit - Hokas for the skinny feet!
Tried several models and this was far and away the best for a lower-volume fit.

The shoes have been great. I no longer wear othotics
These shoes have surpassed my expectations. I ordered them with the hope that I could get rid of the orthotics and so far I have been able to NOT wear my orthotics at all. I just got home from a week-long trip to Disney where we walked A TON. There was never a need for orthotics. The shoes are extremely comfortable and have been a great surprise thus far.

Has potential to be best hiking shoe, if wider
The Hoka SKYLINE-FLOAT X has the potential to be the best Hiking shoe from Hoka, *if* they had a wider toe box. The shoe is significantly narrower then my Speedgoat and Stinson. That being said: I love the upper material - the right combination of stretchiness and foot snugness/support. The sole is a full-length virbram with deep lugs and a very grippy rubber compound. I prefer the full-length vibram sole as it provides better protection to the shoe sole (from ground hazards) and also better grip when trying to traverse rocks or logs. As a result of the narrow toe box, I am returning my Skyline. If Hoka were to release a wide version I would immediately buy the Skyline in a wide version.

Great light duty hiking shoe
Really like the cushion on these, softer than the mafate speed. These are for relatively flat hikes, don't think they would be stable enough for serious terrain. But they are PERFECT for my off road hikes!

Uncomfortable-Poor construction
After wearing regularly my feet began to feel discomfort. Upper portion tore open exposing a hole

I really wanted to like these shoes.
When I found out about these, I was super excited. Half road, half trail is exactly what my routine is and I tear up shoes on the trail. However, this doesn't come in wide sizes, but I was assured that the toe box was bigger like the Speedgoats. It wasn't. As soon as I put them on I could tell the were way too tight. I wasn't ready to give up and decided to try a half size up, since the toe box seemed like it would be wide enough based on their chart. The width was now perfect, but too much slipping, and the laces were too short so I couldn't do the runner's knot. I tried tie box inserts to reduce the room, but it's not working. If you have tiny, narrow feet, these may work perfectly for you.. Those of you with wide feet like me, there are better options.
