I got the dark plum color, in a size 7. (I normally wear a 7.5 in shoes.) I read that these ran a bit large, so I went down half a shoe size. I am glad I did, because they ended up fitting perfectly. They look like moon shoes, with the thick sole. It took me an hour to get used to wearing an incredibly light-weight shoe that looks like it would be heavy. I mostly hike and camp in Texas, so I wanted a shoe that worked in both hot and cool weather. I am amazed. I love the comfort, breathability, and durability of these hiking shoes. My feet and ankles feel fully supported when hiking on uneven, rocky terrain. There was no "break-in" time necessary. That was important to me. They feel great on your feet from the moment you first put them on to a month later, when you have done 30 miles in them. This was a very good investment.
What's the difference between the Mid WP and Hi WP hiking boots? The descriptions are largely the same, but prices are quite different. Thanks!
