Why We Like The Kaha Low GTX Hiking Shoe

Following the footsteps of the hiking boot with the same name, the HOKA ONE ONE Kaha 2 Low GTX brings us comfort and support to a lower-profile shoe for hiking on any terrain. The Vibram MegaGrip outsole uses 5mm lugs to grip varying terrain in all conditions, while the nubuck leather upper with Gore-Tex membrane keeps feet dry through shallow crossings and rainstorms. The Kaha's EVA-cushioned construction allows us to more comfortably ascend the trail and more quickly descend back for a celebratory beverage.

  • Lightweight hiking shoe for fast-paced outings
  • Vibram Megagrip outsole offers superior traction
  • EVA midsole supplies comfort on uneven surfaces
  • GORE-TEX membrane offers waterproof, breathable protection
  • Nubuck leather is highly abrasion-resistant against rocks

W Kaha 2 low GTX BLUE HOKA one one

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
5' 2"

My podiatrist recommended HOKA. (even though I normally buy Merrell) so i bought a pair Hoka online. Delivery within 3 days. Great!! Shoe runs wide. The shoe laces refuse to stay tide (3x untied) within 6 blocks. Had to order shoe clips to wear . (Accessories for my shoes.) the extended back messes with walking down stairs. caution dangerous!!! The right shoe uncomfortable. Inner Seam by big toe uncomfortable. played with lace tying no go.

Can't wait for our next trip to take these waterproof shoes in the trail. They are so comfortable, supportive, and have extra cushion that really helps my plantar fasciitis heel pain. The Grape Wine color is perfect for me.

Comfortable. Stable. Waterproof. Kola Kaha low GTX

I had back surgery and as a long time wearer of Hoka's, I knew they would continue to be my go to shoes for any activity. I wanted something easier to get in and out of and extra stable and comfortable. The Kaha 2 low GTX fits the bill. Bending, while seated, is harder for me but if I untied them before I take them off. I can slip my foot in and a little bend to tie them. I'm walking with a little less coordination, but these shoes have helped recover faster.

Most stable in my 'stable' of Hokas. One

Love this color!

I really like this particular model, and I have two. It's easy to slip right on and I just like the way it looks.

Great and too wide

I love Hoko's and I have narrow feet. Wish they came in widths. Fixed the problem by wearing double socks.

Nicely made

Returned these because the fit was not just right. Nice looking shoes and would have been wonderful for winter wear.

Will not buy again, and wish I could return it. Painful

To narrow and this model is not available in wide.

Nice to look at but...

Not for me. Once on my foot it felt odd. Not worth the price tay. RETURNED

These didn't fit my foot.

I'm sure these shoes will be fantastic for some, but not for me. I'm disappointed, but my Chiropractor just recently encouraged me not to wear super cushy shoes. He said that it's better not to have so much cushion. I just love my HOKA's but I'm going to switch it up a bit from now on.

Great, fit comfortable BUT...

I am very disappointed that the grommets at the top of the laces (light turquoise in color) are plastic especially considering the hefty price tag. They should be metal to last over time when considerable tension is applied to lace them tighter. I foresee them cracking, or coming loose or other similar type failure. Otherwise a fantastic shoe! They do fit a little bigger than my other Hoka's in the same size, but that's ok because it can accomodate a thick hiking sock.
