HOKA Hopara 2 Sandal

Feels like a sandal, functions like a hiker. Equally at home by land or water, the Hopara 2 tackles mud, dirt, and rocks with the same amphibian-like ease. Reconceived with earth-conscious materials, we’ve implemented a 30% sugarcane topsole & midsole, 100% recycled knit upper, and 100% recycled Cordura® mesh overlays to allow for water drainage while keeping trail debris at bay. Engineered with a toggle lace, adjustable heel strap, and quick-dry water repellency, there’s no need to take your shoes off at the next creek crossing.

Should it be nice to come to offline store and try it personally and choose the size based upon tryouts. No offense IT IS GOOD AS ITS PROMISED, true!. You feel like walking barefoot meanwhile your toes are comfortably secured. The 'true to sizes' though real true to size, nothings wrong with it unless you're a man with big calves and small footed (my bad)

Great summer wear

Light weight, cool, comfortable, easy to put on, and they look great! What's not to love? Had to toss the fisherman style sandal from another brand that I spent a hundred bucks on last summer, but it was worth it. Haven't had the opportunity to take them on a hike yet, but street use makes me think they will perform really well on the trail. Wore them doing some exterior spring cleaning tasks and their water-worthy, quick dry materials were a plus. Recommended!!

I wanted to love these

After using them once for about ten minutes I started to feel pain on my foot and the lining scrapped on the left side of mt foot. I wanted to love these because they are so versatile. The shoe is not tight it just left a mark on the bottom left side of my foot.

Best Sandals

Wore similar Keen version for years and these are much better. Much more comfortable and easier to get on and off. Just returned from beach trip and they also keep the sand out. Love these shoes.

Version 1 better

Ok time to get back to the previous model of hopara... I own myself 3 pairs of version 1 and use them frequently for hiking, river walking and even to go to the office because they are super comfortable and I love their colorfull designs. Version 2 looks like a good idea, specially the back velcro reinforcement which was the only single flaw of V1. But the new upper parts and tongue does not hold good and the mesh material is an horrific trap for sand and smal debris.... ahhh single colors might be okay, but what about some mixed colorfull designs for the happy people?

Amazing

I am a professional fisherman and these are the best shoes ever for running in and out of the boat!! Very comfortable and also supportive. Also they have very good traction for climbing in and out of my boat while it's on the trailer or in the water. They dry out supper fast too that's also a plus. Say good buy to the keens and the crocks!!

Solidly okay hikers

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Bought these two weeks ago for a rafting trip down the grand canyon. For hiking purposes these are perfect, lightweight, comfortable, and grippy. As a sandal or water-shoe however, these come up short in several ways: 1. The cordura mesh prevents any debris (including sand) from exiting the shoe through the sides 2. The holes in the heel sucked in rocks like no other water shoe I have ever worn 3. The heel cup, while great for hiking support, prevented debris from draining out the heel holes 4. The heel pull tab on one shoe disintegrated within two days of use

I love these shoes.

I have issues with my Achilles tendon and these shoes irritate it less than anything I have found. I couldn't be happier with them. They do feel a little small which I'm glad for. I ordered size 14 which these are and they feel like a13.5 which is what I really need.
