Why We Like The HOKA Anacapa 2 Low GTX Hiking Boot

Designed for high speed hikes, the HOKA Anacapa 2 Low GTX Hiking Boot offers low profile support and propulsion that drive you towards the summit or vista. The low profile breathable recycled mesh upper is reinforced with a GORE-TEX laminate that prevents moisture from sneaking into your socks that can lead to discomfort. Meanwhile, the EVA midsole and Vibram Megagrip outsole combine to provide fatigue-fighting support, comfortable cushion, and plenty of traction to drive you forwards.

Comfy hikers

I originally ordered a pair of Skyline Float X hikers, but they felt a little too small & sort of cheap-feeling. Then I found the Anacapa's. They were on sale, so significantly cheaper than the Skylines. I wasn't sure about the brownish color, but for the price I decided to try them & ordered them 1/2 size bigger than the Skylines. They are SO comfortable - wore them for the first time the other day on a 1.5 hour mountain hike & no problems at all. And I think the color looks nicer in person than online. I also feel like these were a better value than the Skylines b/c they contain some genuine leather & are Gortex. They feel more sturdy & well-made, like a hiking shoe rather than a tennis shoe. I would definitely recommend.

No I would not.

I would not buy this product again. Balance is wonderful, but the product is too wide and that is uncomfortable. My heal gets sore at times where the top rolls up.

Hiking with Hoka

I wear hoka shoes everyday, and can't say enough about how great they are. So when I needed a pair of hiking shoes for vacation , I immediately went to hoka . Com , and found exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't be happier with them.

Great support

Waited to send a review until I broke my sneakers in. They are great for a girl with a lot of foot problems. I don't even need my orthopedic inserts. Lots of room in the toe box and cushion support with each step. First time wearing this brand and I love them.

Inner seams caused discomfort

I wanted to love these shoes because I'm a big HOKA fan, and have used them for running training in the past. Unfortunately these shoes really hurt my feet on a relatively short hike. I tried to wear them in, but the seam where the shoelace eyelets are dug into the top of my foot causing broken skin. I have ordered a regular pair now, and hope they will have a better result.

NOT WATERPROOF OR EVEN WATER RESISTANT

Went through two pairs of the same shoes. Both leaked at the big toe on both shoes after walking a short distance through wet grass.

My toes are no longer wet on my morning runs!

So far I'm very pleased with this shoe after a week or two wearing it. Where I walk the dog along a country road I'm always coming back with wet feet this time of year. Now I can cross my lawn and even the occasional foray into the weedy ditch and come home without squishy toes. They seem as supportive as the other gait correcting shoes that I've purchased from Hoka. These do seem to have a very large toe box in her hard to cinch up very tight, except over the arch which isn't necessary. But overall isn't causing me any pain or discomfort.
