Favorite short to hike in

The fit is amazing. I think halfdays run pretty true to size. While the size down does fit, I prefer the slightly oversized fit. I even found going down to an XS was a bit uncomfy. I rather have the space to tighten which is made easy with the bungee adjustable waist. Please come out with more bright colors like the verdant and loganberry. The material has a beautiful sheen and it's rare to find hiking gear in such gorgeous colors. One thing to note is that sunscreen tends to leave more of a stain behind, so make sure to apply any sunscreen or lotion and let it set before wearing this nylon.

Favorite hiking shorts

Perfect fit and length - first time I've had hiking shorts that I do not feel like I'm constantly dealing with riding up/wedgie issues. Release more colors so I can buy even more!

Not suitable backpacking shorts

Was so excited about these shorts, especially since I love half days for my ski gear, but was so disappointed after taking them on a four day backpacking trip. They were totally un-breatheable (sweat dripping from my upper thighs and no wicking), stained after dipping into the freshwater river, and took ages to dry. Lastly, they began delaminating into the inside after day two! Clearly needs some more iterations before these are outdoors ready.
