Really Nice Look, Thick, Dense & Comfy

Really nice, I have lots of fleece jackets. This is one of the thicker, denser, warmer version of fleece jackets with the vintage looking pile texture on the outside, looks good and not shaggy. Very well made. At 50% off price, it's a slam dunk, no brainer if it fits you. You'll see what I mean when you pull it out of the package, it's nice.
Think of this jacket like you're in a snowy cabin on the couch and using a thick comfy dense blanket to keep yourself warm. It's very comfy, the cut is more of a large than an XL, it's more of a euro slim fit but not overly so. I have a very similar Patagonia fleece jacket with hood in size Large and fits almost the same but shorter than this Haglofs XL. This jacket is longer than normal, I wish it was a bit shorter but I have a short torso and arm length. I'm 5'11", 208 lbs. I'm a 45-46 chest and this was slightly tighter in this upper area compared to the rest of the jacket on me. It works well for me with just a t-shirt. I doubt I would wear anything thicker underneath as this jacket is very warm with good wind resistant. The hood is comfy and functional, I like it and does not get in the way or bothersome when it's down. The back is 2.75" longer than the front to keep you covered when bending down.

The finish on this jacket is nicer than a Patagonia, has nice details. I like the hang loop thats on the outside just underneath the hood, A+ for that. It looks similar to Patagonia's Retro Pile jacket but the Haglofs is not as stiff and more comfortable than Patagonia's. It doesn't have the inside liner that the Patagonia has. The outside pile fleece works great when combined with a gore tex jacket, very warm.

Jacket looks great and been getting compliments when I wear it, I never have that with my other fleece jackets. The blue color is very nice and zipper color is mellow, not flashy like some others.

Compare your jacket measurements to this one.

XL size, actual measurements taken when laid flat. I have a different Haglogs zipper thinner jacket (Alder) with hood and the fit is almost identical between the two, this jacket is just slightly larger.

Top shoulder seam to top shoulder seam across back: 18"
Arm pit to Arm Pit: 23.5"
    Width of bottom hem. 21"
    Front zipper length: 29"
Back side length, collar stitch down to bottom hem: 30"
Rear backside length compared to front: 2.75"
Arm length; shoulder seam down to cuff seam: 28"

    Warm, warm, warm and comfortable

Just used on a backpacking trip in cold and rainy conditions. Worked well under a shell. It was pretty comfortable to wear sleeping inside the sleeping bag as well. Best for cold fall/winter/springs days as it's medium to heavy weight fleece.

The absolute best fleece jacket made!

Haglofs might have a funny name, but there's nothing funny about their fantastic fleece jacket. It is plush, hugs you, and has a great zipper and hood. It's so good I bought another. If you want comfort and a well made fleece jacket, look no further than this one.

      Cozy fleece hoodie

Haglofs fleece hoodie leans toward athletic but my 200 pound body is amenable. The quality is tops and I wear it under my parka on days that dip into single digits. They make an excellent product. You can't go wrong. I'm glad I bought it from backcountry dot com, too. Great people!

      Overly obsessed.

I ordered this fleece jacket for my fiance for Christmas and he's obsessed. It's probably one of his favorite jackets and fleece pieces that he owns. The quality is amazing - this is definitely the "next generation" of fleece! The texture is awesome and it looks like a sweet throwback from the 90s with the shearling look. I am a huge new fan of Haglofs and would highly recommend any of their products to anyone!!

      Literally the best!!

This is the fleece/sweatshirt to end all fleeces/sweatshirts. Probably the coziest thing that I have ever owned. Incredibly soft, fuzzy, and warm. The fit is perfect. Hood looks super goofy but works great as it is shaped like your head instead of the normal "peak" kind of hood. Great for lounging around the house as well as under a shell outside. The second I found this I knew my search was over. My dad was stealing it so often I got him one for his birthday and he loves it as well. I have the brown color and it frequently looks more like olive drab green. Looks great in my opinion. I had to buy mine from a European website as no one else sold it, but I'm glad Backcountry has it now, so more people can experience this glorious jacket!

Is the main zipper offset to one side? Photos that I have seen make it look so...
