Infect your kid with the backpacking bug early with the Gregory Wander 50L Backpack. Just as fully featured as adult models, this pack offers a comfortable, supportive fit and versatile storage options to help your young hiker crush trails just as hard as the grown-ups. It features an adjustable VersaFit suspension system and Active Wrap hipbelt that adjust and grow with your kid so they can keep trekking with the same pack year after year.
Made to handle everything from overnighters to extended weekends, the Wander 50 sports a Wishbone Wire internal frame that supports the heavy load required for a few days in the wilderness. The top-loading design with a full-length U-zip allows for efficient packing and frustration-free days at camp while the front and side mesh pockets keep water bottles and snacks handy. An internal hydration sleeve with hose management (reservoir not included) lets the kid take sips on-the-go, and trekking pole attachments and reflective webbing loops hold anything that doesn't fit in the pack.

Perfect for my 8 Year old
Needed a pack for my 8 year old son, who, at the time was roughly about 65 lbs and 4' 5" at the time I purchased this. We settled on the Gregory and boy were we pleasantly surprised. The adjustments on this pack to essentially "grow" with him are more than enough and I see this pack lasting him well into his teenage years. We used it into North Fork trail of Big Pine in the eastern sierras. Writing this review now almost a year later and my son has grown and the pack is still well sized for him.

Backpack for 9yr old. M
Full front zipper, so you don’t have to unpack everything to get to the middle or bottom. Bought for my 9yr old son to use. 3 campouts in, still getting use to where all of his buckles click. I would expect him to get use of it until he is 12-13.

The Wander 50
I purchased this backpack for my 9 year old daughter. Although she should have fit this given the measurements she is too small for this pack by just a little bit. It seems like an awesome pack though. Really well built with tons of pockets and features. I will definitely hang on to it for my son who will need one soon.

Good pack for the kids
We used this for the first time on a backpacking trip in Yellowstone...My 8 and 9 year old did great with it. Slightly too small for my daughter but give it another 6-12 months and itll fit her perfectly. My son is average sized for his age and it fit him really well. Plenty of adjustments left in the pack for growing. Seems like a durable, well-built pack

The best youth pack available.
It's hard to find a youth multi day pack that fits. I've tried many different packs for my kids and this one is by far the best.

I would recommend this for any kid
My son loves this pack-it is a fully functional multi-day backpacking pack in a kids size with plenty of room to grow.
