Replacement purifier cartridges for the UltraPress® (and Ultralight) are designed to last 300 cycles (40 gal. / 150L). Lifespan will decline when purifying water with high levels of silt, sediment or tannins. Cartridge press time increases towards the end of the cartridge lifespan; when press time reaches 25-30 seconds, the cartridge should be replaced. Cartridge continues to protect, even as press time increases.

This purifier bottle system is
This purifier bottle system is user friendly and gives me peace of mind when I’m in the backcountry that my water is safe to drink. I like that I can fill the cup, press and purify the water into the bottle, and then either drink from the bottle or pour it into a cooking pot or my hydration bladder. Another brand of purifier I own ( Water ToGo) only works to drink from. I also like the fact I can use electrolytes in the water. Only downside is that the bottle is a little heavy for us who want to go light. But it is what it is!

Great tool to have around when outdoors or traveling .
Worked great , used it during a hike . Filtered water very efficiently and there was no bad odors or taste to the water . Helped us stay hydrated all the way from beginning to end .

Does everything I need!
I love my GRAYL ultra press. I use it daily when traveling abroad for work. The filter removes not only bacteria and microbes, but heavy metals and other pollutants.

Replacement filter
Simple and easy to replace. Great price for an outstanding required piece of backpacking equipment. Highly recommend as your only water filter in the backcountry or as an emergency filter.

Doesn’t Fit
Not sure what could be wrong with this unit. Maybe it’s a one off problem. The ultrapress when I bought it was the best. I recommended it to everyone. I was due for a filter replace and bought the black color vs the original orange (which maybe was a mistake) but ever since then the press doesn’t function properly and water leaks out of it constantly, all over and onto the person drinking it. It’s rendered the bottle unusable since I use it at work and had to stop the use with the water getting all over myself. The original was perfect, it had the orange color and maybe that has something to do with it.

I use my Grayl for
I use my Grayl for travel. Just got back from Senegal. I never worry about the water supply wherever I go. What’s great about this filter set up vs those with a straw is that you can use the water for mixing something or have a cup of tea. It’s more versatile.

Fast and easy
Works great and so easy to use. I take mine when I’m traveling overseas. I use it at the hotels when I brush my teeth and even when I get bottled water I run it through my Grayl My motto is. Don’t get pale use a Grayl

I wish you still had
I wish you still had the Ultralight model for business travel. The other models are too big and stick out in business situations. Otherwise they are great products.
