    Protection from the park.

Giro built its Ledge Mips Helmet to effectively deal with the abuse only dedicated park riders can dish out. The Ledge's hard-shell construction will absorb multiple impacts, while the MIPS brain protection system protects against multi-directional hits. The Auto Loc 2 Fit System ensures a snug and secure fit, or it can be removed altogether when you want wear the helmet with just a beanie beneath. Multiple vents along the top and front of the shell keep cool air circulating through and are designed to keep all Giro goggles fog-free.

    Mips Delight

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

80 bucks for MIPS, seriously!? This is some kind of steal for a good fitting helmet that also incorporates MIPS tech into it. The shape of the helmet is a little more friendly then pictured above, and definitely has more angular shapes to it then spherical, like most other helmets.

Its a little bit different, and its a great price, and it has MIPS. Too easy, buy!

After ordering upwards of 6-8 helmets to try out, the Giro Ledge was the clear winner for me.

I used to ride without a helmet for a little bit and got "scared straight" into hopping back on the safe train with the help from a crazy Netflix documentary.

As far as a MIPS helmet that is <$100 and fits well/true to size while looking super stylish with most goggles - the Giro LEDGE is the way to go!

I went with the matte black and wear a beanie and goggles underneath. If you decide to wear your goggles on the outside that's cool too. Either way, I'm stoked on the size I went with.

If you have any questions on sizing, goggles compatibility (HUGE concern for just about any rider - don't want that gaper gap) contact me directly.

    Ride on!

    runs kind of small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I got this item but it ran smaller than the size chart and the size medium was just a little too tight for me. Other than that, it's a solid helmet (literally) and will definitely protect your noggin. It's also a bit bulkier than I had hoped, but for a MIPS helmet you can't beat the price.

    Protect the Noggin

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

A nice lightweight helmet with good ventalation that fits snugly to my head. I haven't taken any massive bangers to the head to really test the MIPS, and I am hopping not to, but I like what Giro is doing with the technology. The liner is comfortable and rotates inside the helmet to protect against rotational forces if I really eat it. Overall, the helmet is comfortable and stylish and fits with my Smith googles just fine. I am a big fan of this helmet

Park to freeride & everything in between

After researching the difference between real helmets and "hardhats" last year I learned that Giro is on the forefront of research and design, they set the standard in safety. The ledge is what I ended up getting and it's solid! It has the same fit style as the combyn helmet, which is low profile and sleek but with the added bonus of MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) technology. I take my fair share of tumbles throughout the season and I will only use a MIPS helmet. Absolutely recommend!

I bought this helmet before last season. I put probably 30-40 days on it so far and could not be happier. It's very simple and stylish. My smith vice goggles fit under it really well. I love the mips because I don't need to get a new helmet after I take a solid tumble. It seems big at first but once it's on you don't notice it. Only think I've noticed that I don't love love love is that the wait covers that were black have started to fade because of how much I have worn it in the sun. And no I didn't just leave it in my car for it to get baked. I would swiftly recommend this to a friend or stranger

Can the Electric EG2 goggle be worn with this particular helmet? How does it fit with the front of the helmet? Would it push down on the goggle?

If this is not an ideal helmet for the EG2, which brand/style would pair best with this goggle?
